Owner description: Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is a conservation and education charity located in South Devon. With around two thousand animals, we have more species than anyone else in the South West. These include: crocodiles, snakes, lions, tigers, giraffes, elephant, rhinos, lemurs, meerkats, orang utans...The list is endless! We also have indoor play areas, the Jungle Express train and a lakeside restaurant. If you wish, we also offer special feeding experiences with certain animals, e.g. meerkats, giraffes, giant tortoises, etc. Paignton Zoo is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

What a great zoo! Plenty of animals to see, places to grab a snack, and play areas for the kids to let off some steam. Was a bit disappointed with the zoo train not worth the money.

Nice Zoo, although it was very cold, but kept us busy for 3 hours on a cold easter sunday, Alot of the marquee animals (Monkeys,Giraffes, Rhinos) were in their inside enclosures but to be honest couldn't really blame them. Very clean and tidy, well signposted but is quite hilly.

The Paignton Zoo has been a favourite of my family. If you want to go out for the day and have the children amused all day choose here. It is expensive but if you take a picnic there are many places to stop and eat. Alternatively the cafes/restaurant is good to eat in.The gift shop is also expensive.

We went to Paignton zoo on Easter Sunday, whilst it isn't the cheapest to enter £15.60 each we managed to walk around most of the zoo. Somehow we managed to miss the Penguins and Meerkat's!! but most of the big animals were indoors as the weather was cold and windy.

Had an excellent day in March, dispite the weather. It was freezing. Park was well laid out and had a great variety of animals.
Cafe was warm and welcoming to the ginger bread family and didnt get eaten by a tiger which was a bonus
