It is owned and run by Torbay Council. The theatre has a seating capacity of 380. It has undergone a major refurbishment and it looks fantastic. My wife and I saw the ''THE UNEXPECTED GUEST'' at this lovely theatre during our holiday. The lady at the booking office was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble when booking our seats.
This Agatha Christie crime thriller was a first class production. The actors and actresses all played their parts perfectly.
The theatre has a nice bar area where we had a drink before the play. Although we had front row seats looking around the theatre I would imagine you would have a good view from any seat! There was no problem with parking as there is free parking after 6 around or near the theatre.

A great production by the players there. We thoroughly enjoyed our unplanned visit to the theatre but we hadn't hear of this Agatha Christie play - the team are excellent & very welcoming to visitors.

I went to the Palace Theatre this evening to see Agatha Christie's "The Unexpected Guest" from Bijou Theatre Productions. This play was well up to the company's usual high standard, with excellent performances from the cast, conveying the many twists and turns of the plot. It still has a couple of weeks to run, and is well worth a visit.

Went to see The Unexpected Quest, the actors were brillaint. The theatre is friendly and comfortable, the staff were really helpful. Nice little bar to have a coffee or wine, will be back to see some more soon.
