Review of Paignton Pier

Paignton Pier
Reviewed July 19, 2013

This pier really isn't worth a visit, unless you want to play coin dozer for a few hours. To reach the end you HAVE to go through a big arcade, which is very noisy and kills any decent vacation atmosphere. There are paths to go around, but they close them. Then when you reach the end it's stacked with rides for small children. You can't even lean over the banister because there's no room. And the rides were closed.
Old, not well maintained and clearly the one and only intention is to attract visitors that don't care about the pier and the view, but only about spending in the arcade.

Thank Mario B

Always enjoy the pier and playing in the arcade
First summer visit to the pier in several years. I was hoping we could take our toddler to the rides at the end but no such luck as it was just far too hot!!
i know the owners cant control the weather but could get air con or buy fans. didnt even make it half way up the pier before giving up due to our son dripping with sweat

Paignton is a lovely little town centre and always has something to do for all ages. With surrounding areas such as Torquay etc you can have a perfect holiday there like we always have done. With the nice sandy beach and the pier you are sure to be amazed. We visited whilst on holiday the other week and found that inside the pier you could literally just spend all day in there. With all the facilities you require and something to do for all they family it is perfect for people both old and young.

Usual mixture of fast food outlets and fairground games but the walk along the pier is enjoyable. Worth a visit whilst you are in Paignton.
