Food was great (breakfast and dinner) in good light dinning room and nice TV lounge where you can relax in comfortable chairs/sofas. Our room was a good size but the en-suite was rather small which made it a bit uncomfortable to use. Very close to shops and front so ideal if you don't want to use a car.

Popped down to the Adelphi for a Bank Holiday weekend break with 7 freinds and family and were totaly spoiled by John and Jayne, their freindly banter and bend over backwards attitude to make our return stay with them a pleasure and relaxing time. As for the breakfast, we all echo the remarks made by other visitors (you only have to read the visitor's book) to see what we mean. Great place to stay, we will return! if youll have us....

Booked this hotel after reading reviews on trip advisor. Great location, room very clean and comfy, and excellent food. Proprietors very helpful and friendly. 10 out of 10 for value for money. Parking can be a problem so hotel owner moved his own car so I could park on the forecourt - thanks! Downside - none with the hotel, but those !"£$%^&*! seagulls as a wake-up call at 5.30 - an absolute pain, but hardly the hotel's fault!

If you are after clean, comfortable accommodation, a breakfast to die for, evening meals that offer great English and International cuisine at its best (Good Honest Food), very hospitable owners who will go out of there way to meet any requirements you have. Then The Adelphi hotel Paignton, is the one for you.
Nearly all rooms are en-suite and are airy, very clean, offer tea/coffee making facilities, TV etc (a home from home feeling).
Linen and towels are changed regurlarly and the overall service you get is 5*.
Downstairs there is a large living room, with things to keep the kids occupied(toys/Wii/DVD/books), next door a spacious room for meals, that offers the same smart clean decor offering a comfortable eating environment. Mealtimes whether it be breakfast or evening meal offers a menu with a great deal of choice, but for me the cooked breakfast would have Ramsay himself asking for more of the same.....
If you offered me a lot of money to stay anywhere else when we are in Paignton, i would ALWAYS turn it down.
Situated a couple of hundred yards from all amenities and the Paignton beachfront, its location is ideal, you can walk to the train station, promenade, shops and catch transport all over Torbay.
The Adelphi isn't just another hotel/guest house, it's the only one to stay at when in Paignton..........
