Camped on this site twice in August 13 and on both occasions left with mixed feelings.
The staff go out of their way to ensure you are checked in efficiently, the grounds of the park are well kept and the swimming pool area was lovely however there are areas I think should be improved.
1. The on site shop was very basic, there was nothing in there to attract customers
2. The toilets and shower block on the lower part of the park were very tired and on the occasions I used them were dirty.
3. There was no separate chip shop selling chip shop food (chips were out of a packet rather than cut from a potato) and had to be ordered from the cafe where families were sat down having their evening meals.
4. On the occasions we ordered takeaway food from the cafe, the tables hadn't been cleared so it put me off eating in there, especially given the high prices of the eat-in meals.
I think this site could be a gold mine if a little more attention was spent to detail.
As I said, there are good points and bad points of this site but overall, I would stay there again.More
