Ashvale holiday park is a smaller park opposite Beverley park.
The caravans are fine, clean and the park is quiet
The staff are polite and friendly, and the facilities above average for a park of this size

The main reason for writing this, is the evening entertainment team, in a word simply BRILLIANT
you will not find better quality more varied funny and friendly team anywhere, our hats go off to them, and they make your holiday special. Especially bearing in mind the entertainment is free, these guys are girls are superb professionals, who make every evening fun

Thank you

Just returned from a week's holiday at Beverley in a Sunset caravan and really didn't want to come home. The caravan was very clean and had everything you needed. The entertainment was great. The entertainment team at Beverley all work really hard, but especially Chris who never seems to stop! All the staff are friendly and helpful and I cant fault them. There were plenty of staff in the bar which meant very few queues at busy times. We didn't try the entertainment at Ashvale as there was plenty of live music to see at Beverley. The site is very clean and tidy and nice and quiet. Handy for the bus as the stops are just round the corner (once you've sussed out the timetable!) to Paignton or Brixham- we had a week megarider ticket and never used the car at all. This wasn't our first trip to Beverley and it certainly wont be our last!

Stayed here in June a few years ago & whole family disappointed.
We paid for a Jubilee caravan. Whilst the caravan was very good our views were 8 foot high hedge behind us caravans directly in front of us & caravans on either side of us - very claustrophobic & complete lack of privacy. The only plots with spectacular views mentioned in other reviews appeared to be the tents & tourers. The site could do with switching the expensive vans with the cheaper camping to make most of views.
The outside pool whilst large was freezing cold, the inside pool was small & overcrowded.
The childrens entertainers were the same people from when I came to the site as a child in the 1970's & so, unfortunately, was their act. Also several of the machines on the arcade were from the 1970's too.
Nostalgia is all well & good but a little modernisation is also desirable.

Just returned from a short break at Ashvale, have been a couple of times before and it was even better than I remember, the entertainments team in The Ocean club were one of the best I've seen in a long time. Brilliant with the kids my 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed herself and the kids weren't made to feel in the way after 9pm as is the case in some holiday parks. All the staff were very friendly and its good to be able to use the facilities at Beverley Park just across the road if you wish too we had a couple of nice meals in the restaurant over there overlooking the sea, but we preferred the quieter side of Ashvale. Our caravan was lovely and clean and plenty of room for the 3 of us, we look forward to returning next year.

We stayed at Beverley Park from the 8th July had fantastic weather which really made the holiday. The park is very clean and staff are really friendly and helpful. We stared in a 3 bed caravan which was fully equipped and very clean, only downside as the beds where very hard. The pool area was clean and well kept could not fault. Evening entertainment was also good they worked really hard and we had many enjoyable evenings. Hopefully if we get another bargain will go go back next year. if you want nice views over Bay ask for caravan 62

I've been a frequent visitor to the area all my life and have used the main Beverley Park site, the quieter Ashvale site over the road and the former Marine Park down the hill over the years. We prefer the bussle of the main park and find it handy being as close to the shop/pool/cabaret bar which is all centrally located on the site.

We keep going back as the place was great when I was a kid and is now great for my kids, they can dot around without a care in the world with minimal supervision, few roads, lots of walkways and a very low on park speed limit. The parks are immaculate, the facilities are good and the place really is a step above what is the norm at the bigger chain run holiday parks.

The entertainments team try to keep everyone happy from the kids early doors to the adult guests as the night goes on. I note an earlier comment on here about being invited to use the lounge bar upstairs to chat when the cabaret acts are on. I don't see a problem with that, we have just been for our usual two weeks in July and twice there were groups of guests spoiling the shows for those around them, sat having en mass conversations at the top of their voices. Felt sorry for one singer, welsh lad I think who was doing a lot of soft ballads and all you could hear were a rowdy bunch shouting at each other, just plain rude.

Stacks of attractions in the surrounding area, though most are better reached by car than within walking distance. Tickets for many of the attractions can be bought in the main reception area, usually with some level of discount too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Model Village, Bygones, The Zoo, Splashdown Water Park (when its warm!), the Cayman pitch and put, Kents cavern (if you are ok in enclosed spaces) and even a wander around Torquay marina. The best beach in the area is at the bottom of the hill from the park (Goodrington Beach) which neatly takes us on to the only snag with the park. Its at the top of a steep hill in relation to the shore area, which is fine going down the way and better labelled as cardiac hill when it comes to the return leg. There is a shorter but no less steep route though the Hillside lodges which brings you out at one of the touring pitch fields but you really have to know the way.

We're 480 miles from the place and we've seen/done all there is to do in the area but regardless of where else we holiday at other times of the year we still return for annual dose of Beverley Park because the team there work hard and it shows - Booking for 2014 made before we left, along with family and friends that all return year on year!

We have been visiting this site for 30 years. It still offeres a great family experience. The site is immaculte and the facilities although not new are all kept to a very high standard.
The pitches for touring caravans are all well sized and very well placed.
The entertainment is still good although there are one or two occasions where the standards have dropped. Chris still does a fantastic job and is very well backed up by an array of extremely talanted musicians. However they brought in a show last year, which they put together themselves, I think they call it electricity? When it gets going it's ok however in my opinion it is over complicated and they can never get the equipment to work. They started doing it last year and the twice I seen it they had many problems and lost several members of the audience who lost interest and left. Sadly to say this year was still the same. It's a shame as they are trying very hard. This seems to happen quite a lot. When Derek was there everything went like clockwork and things were kept simple enough that no time was lost messing about with equipment. People were entertained from the beginning to the end of the night. Now although some of the entertainment is more intricate there are several occasions where it takes so long to set up people have lost interest.
