We visited Rivaj as a group of Friends who enjoy visiting different restaurants once a month to try out new experiences and travel near and far to get them. This is one definitely to avoid. The staff in there were all running round like rabbits in the headlights clearly didn't have a clue, to use a well known adage "too many chiefs and Not enough Indians" excuse the pun, anyway ordered first drinks and wanted to stand at the bar to observe, eventually shown to the table and the RIVAJ experience began. The service is an absolute joke, the food is even worse, all of us weren't even sure if we'd actually had an indian meal, it was so bland and tasteless in beggared belief. we'd ordered poppadums and chutneys, then several different starters and then mains the wait in between was horrendous, the service even for drinks was ridiculous, after suffering through all the courses and hardly eating any of it two of the group ordered desserts, mine came and was frozen solid, couldn't even get the spoon in it, scared to death to complain, well you never know, however they swapped it and the second attempt wasn't much better so decided not to eat it. asked for the bill and where we normally leave a healthy tip we'd all decided that they weren't worth it. We will NOT be returning.

We have visited this restaurant 5 or 6 times. The first time we had the buffet which was disappointing but on subsequent visits we had the regular menu which proved to be excellent. On the last visit we tried the special offer £9.95 for three courses menu, expecting smaller portions or a slight deterioration in quality, but we couldn't eat all the food and the quality was still top class. The service at all times has been very attentive and nothing has been too much trouble. We will be going again and would recommend it to anyone wanting good quality Indian food.

We visited for my fiance's birthday. We came for the Sunday Buffet. The restaurant was very clean and modern, and the service was excellent. The food choice was good, and the food was delicious. I was disappointed to see that you had to order & pay extra for popudoms and garlic naan bread. Not quite sure how our bill (2 of us) came to £40!! We will come back though as the food was good,

This Indian restaurant is definitely one of the best I have experienced. The staff are extremely welcoming and attentive and the food is delicious, They also do a really good deal which is excellent value for money. I would certainly go again and recommend it! I cannot fault it.
