My family went on a Sunday evening there were 4 adults and a child.
We all ordered their Sunday banquet at £8.95, for this you could choose any starter or main course but this excluded King Prawn dishes or Raj Signature dishes, to add to this you could choose either Pilau Rice, Plain Naan or Chips.
Poppadoms and chutney tray were an added extra.
The restaurant is quite small but was manned by plenty of staff, their service was quick, efficient and courteous.
The menu does not indicate the heat (spiciness) of some of its dishes, two of us ordered Balti's (Peshwarni and Makani) unfortunately both of these turned out to be very mild and sweet, otherwise the taste was fine.
The potion sizes were more than adequate, two of the party ordered chips as a side, these turned out to be enormous and one portion would have done 2 people.
I would advise anyone to consult a waiter if you like a spicier curry just to ensure you are not disappointed.
We had no complaints about the food quality, portions or service and would try The Raj again.
The Raj is certainly good value for money and I would definitely recommend it to others.
