The hotel is perfectly located for all the attractions within the city of Durham. The hotel has been in existence many years and the old part of the hotel certainly shows it, with a labyrinth of narrow hallways with creaking sloping floors. The room we had was well furnished but small and a bit cramped. There were windows but no view whatsoever. The bathroom was excellent. There was a fridge in the room but it did not function, and the attention to details on servicing the room was not quite up to scratch.(missing tissues, missing coffee etc). The elevator was out of action during our weekend stay. Breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful. I would use the hotel again but it would not be my first choice.
The hotel has a spa but we did not use it so unable to comment.More
