went with a party of 10 from work. we go each year to different locations around britain and have had great stays, but this was the best yet. we arrived about 11am and rooms weren't ready but they have a great facility only 2 min walk from hotel (clubhouse) we had a round bookd right away. but no worries they had a great changing area with luxuary shower and lockers..courses are excellent, high standard with great lightn fast greens which were to a high standard... food was excellent with a wide range of choice..staff extremley friendly...rooms were large and clean...all in all get it booked. we will be going back next year .

Booked Ramside Hall via ther own internet site which was nice and easy. On arrival first impression is very cheesy. Check in was fast and effecicent and explained where the resurants and bars were located and what time they served breakfast etc.
Decided to go to the golf driving range and had half an hour lesson with the pro which was good.
While the bedrooms were extremley comfortable you can not help but think that whoever did the interior design for the hotel in general must have been on acid. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable but are very dated. This theme runs through the hotel as nothing seems to match or look comfortable in its surroundings.
Had dinner in the Rib House Grill which was good and service excellent without been over the top. Did wander into the carvery area but quickly retreated as while food choice was extensive one could question how long it had been sat there.
Overall if your in the North East on Business and like to play golf it beats most of the chain Hotels around the £75.00 per night mark. If your not into golf not worth staying as Hotel is average at best.

This is our second time of staying at Ramside Hall but the first time for writing a review. On both occasions we have had no faults with our stay. The outside of the hotel isn't to our taste but internally it's very nice, maybe a little mis matched. Whilst dining in The Rib Room you could be in a Paris restaurant and the bar is very plush, Pembertons could be called a little dated.
Both rooms we have stayed in have been of a high standard, great size, good decor, well presented and very clean. On our last stay we had a room with a four poster bed, the bed was gorgeous, romantic and very comfy.
The food in the Rib Room is excellent, the steak is some of the best we have tasted, and with a partner coming from farming stock we have had alot of steak! We always treat ourselves to three courses and a bottle of wine, the food is great and at a reasonable price to.
There is a good choice for breakfast, full fry up, danish pastries, fruit and yogurt for those that are still full from the delicious dinner the night before.
We have found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating and have had no issues.
If I have any negative comment to make, I like freshly made tea or coffee at breakfast, I found it had been brewed a little to long.
But overall,we both really enjoyed our stay at Ramside and are looking forward to finding an excuse to stay again.

We stayed here for a wedding in June 2010 for two nights & were so impressed we decided to come back for my birthday Feb 26th 2011 . As usual everything was lovely , the rooms have added extras with the lovely bedding & extra cushions ,looks lovely & free room wifi . The rooms were spotless & so cosy . Flat screen tv & view onto the golf course , The staff were great too . We had starter of King prawns , followed by Steak served on wooden board with salad , home made chips & sauce of your choice , we had pepper corn sauce , mouthwatering & the best , couldnt eat pudding as too full . You will not be dissapointed . We had two bottles of wine with our meal & the whole bill including our room for the night was £175.00. Had a lovely birthday & will be going again , fabulous, thank you ramside x One thing missing mini bar would be amazing.
