Love the local produce being used in the dishes and the venue is always friendly. Steak pie and chips with gravy is luushhhh!

“Expensive for what you get!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

This pub is trying to get itself noticed and is making some good noises. But I have to say that it did fall short of my expectations as I thought with a Chef who appeared on Master Chef (Professionals) I would have my taste buds assaulted with something out of this world........It fell short of the mark. it was a good meal but did not match the price tag,

“Excellent meal and friendly staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013

My partner and I went on Saturday evening for a meal, after being recommended to go by close friends. We live quite far from the area and all I can say is, it was well worth the journey!
My husband is a real steak man, so had the rib eye steak off the a la carte menu, which he said was cooked to perfection, accompanied with home made chips - which I can vouch for were yummy. I had the deconstructed cod pie on a bed of spinach from the january specials which was so delicious. We both had the banoffee pie for desert which was amazing, I honestly could eat it all again now. We were also a bit greedy and ordered a portion of the profiteroles between us as we couldn't resist which were amazing too.
The staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful, we had a few drinks in the bar after our meal and the atmosphere was great.
We will 100% be coming back to this establishment, loved it and happily recommending it to people! Thank you

“The manageress is a nightmare!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

I can honestly say that the manageress is a nightmare to deal with if there's a problem!
Food is beautiful but meal was missing - she said we hadn't ordered it although the waitress went round the table double checking our order!
