On behalf of all at BeBold we would like to thank the Radisson Blu Durham for making the BeBold Conference 2013 an outstanding success. The Hotel has provided a first class service.
Delegates have provided very positive comments regarding the food and hospitality.

The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy, rooms are spacious and the spa facilities outstanding.

It was a pleasanter stay this time. Things had improved. The front desk staff are excellent and helpful, giving a good service to their clients. I have a few suggestions:
There should be a designated porter. The Reception girls should not have to double as luggage porters. They do it willingly but it is not fair on them or the clients. When ferrying luggage, they are not at their desks.
The one-switch call for service from the room is a disaster. Once again, a request for room service, or any other service, is sent direct to the Reception girls. Consequently, the phone rings off the hook and no one answers as they are busy checking in new arrivals etc.
We had to abandon a Room Service order for sandwiches as no one would answer. We even went down in person and were told they were 'too busy'.
Breakfast remains excellent in this hotel. The highlight. The selection is enormous and generous and the staff helpful.

The lighting in the accessibility bathroom is very bad. You cannot see to make up anywhere in the room. The rooms are too hot and turning down the air-conditioning did not do a thing to cool the room. This made for an uncomfortable night in an overheated room.
One last request, when the time comes for decorating the rooms, I hope they will remove the ghastly red picture of 'lips' that is over most of the beds. It is offensive - a ghastly choice.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a room with a window that opens. Otherwise you may fry.

My husband and i went for a night away at this hotel. It is a lovely hotel in great settings. The staff are really nice. Pool and facilities are good. It is close to all of the pubs so dont have to walk far. A really enjoyable stay.

From the moment you walk into the hotel it's brilliant. The reception staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are a good size and kept very clean and tidy. The hotel has a nice bar area and if you wish to have a walk over the bridge into Durham it only takes you about 4 mins. The buffet style breakfast is nice and hot and of good quality. They have a decent sized car park at the back which I think costs about £7 for 24 hrs. Oh and each floor has a big ice machine which is really handy if you want to take a bottle of wine etc .

We stayed for 2 nights b and b.

our room was nice and the hotel is situated right next to the river. bar prices are high but I suppose that's to be expected.

the pool is smallish and was quite busy but overall was fine for a short dip.

a corporate hotel and overall quite nice. it just seems that everything costs a fortune nowadays.

My husband went to uni there so we went back for a visit and stayed the weekend for our anniversary. It's great value for the quality of hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. It's walking distance to anything in Durham but has parking which was really convenient. Breakfast was good but we didn't eat otherwise at the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel in september the night before i completed the great north run. Room was great, very comfortable and clean, situatied looking over the river. Did not spend much time at the hotel but what i saw was great. Had 1 small issue with the room next door to ours (we had a interconnecting room which was locked) as i was up early (6am) the next day for the great north run i went to bed around 10pm, and our next door neighbours decided to come in at 12am very loud and drunk. as we had the door inbetween i could hear every word. i would of thought that because the hotel knew i was doing the run (we booked on a special GNR package) they would of put me in a quieter room. i was very restless anyway as i was nervous for the run the next morning. called reception who said they would send someone up... never heard anyone come up but eventually fell asleep. good hotel however.
