Good location, quiet and nowhere near the centre however a short bus ride or a taxi ride of £7-£10 takes you (or brings you back) from the centre. Nice welcome from the older man behind the bar (sorry didn't catch his name although it sounded like 'Bill'). The young man that served us was a bit abrupt.
The rooms and areas outside the bar need updating but I wasn't expecting much for the price. We booked a family room but it was located above the bar and they held a party both nights without warning us, it felt like we were in the room with them. On the 2nd night, the D.J. told all the attendees and they boo'ed and turned the music UP.
We had already paid and there was no-one there when we checked out otherwise I wouldn't have paid as the whole idea of having a room to stay in is that you get some sleep!!!
Breakfast was okay although you weren't given much oppotunity to vary what you had and the toast was cold both days.
We had an evening meal there ONCE and when we told the waitress that the lasagne and burger were very salty she said 'well we've never had a complaint about it before'!! Maybe some customer service skills need updating too!
I would never stay there again and, unfortunatley, nor would the 3 other people staying with me
