You will not be disappointed if you manage to stay here. Andy & Jill are superb lovely hosts and the perfect demonstration of fantastic hospitality.
Whenever I have the need to stay in Durham City or for family and friends this is always my first choice.

Just returned from a weekend break in Durham with my husband after staying at the Victorian Town House. Cannot praise it enough. Owners Jill and Andy were the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Flambard room, which was so comfortable and the breakfasts are amazing. If we return to Durham would not consider staying anywhere else.

Excellent location, a fantastic room, an incredible breakfast. All delivered with a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. There are worse 5 star hotels! Thank you for a lovely stay. This will be my default choice for future trips to the North East.

We stayed here for one night en route to meet up with friends. Pity it wasn't longer. Our room was Flambards - absolutely delightful. Beautifully decorated and furnished, superbly comfortable bed with crisp bedding and many lovely touches in the room. The welcome pot of tea and homemade cake was appreciated. Breakfast was superb - all freshly cooked and of the highest quality. We wished we had another night there if only to sample the Black Pudding Stack. Andy was a superb host and made us feel extremely welcome. We would love to return

We booked this B&B purely on the strength of reviews on Trip Advisor. From the minute the door is answered the visit is perfect. We were taken to the Flambard Room which was perfectly decorated and in really good order, as is the rest of the house. We were brought a pot of coffee and homemade fruitcake as we unpacked. All the little touches in the room - magazines, toiletries etc - made it a little home from home. Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful - even for someone as fickle as I am! - but we were well looked after. Until the morning we left we enjoyed staying here - owners of other B&B's and hotels could learn from the Victorian Townhouse.

Room Tip: All rooms are well decorated to a high standard.
