We got the usual Premier Inn standard - smart, clean, tidy, very comfortable excellent service at reception. Then the Slug & Lettuce across from our room had a Halloween Party til 2am - ugh!

Not really Premier Inn fault but they were true to their word and we got a full refund for the booking - nice one Premier Inn

Room Tip: Rooms opposite the Slug and Lettuce may be subject to sleep disturbing noise especially on party nig...

Firstly the receptionist must be complimented on the warm welcome she gave us upon our arrival, nice to see someone so cheerful! Although I didn't eat in the restaurant, the food I saw looked mouthwatering! My room (with a Cathedral view) was very comfortable, lovely big comfortable bed, extremely clean bedlinen and choice of pillows. No shortage of hot water for shower. Breakfast was filling, very warm welcome and friendly explanation of what was on offer.

Room Tip: Ask for what you want, I had view of Cathedral.

Just back from a fantastic stay at this hotel - had a wonderful time with our 4 children. Such amazing value for money, with clean, modern rooms, nice bar and restaurant area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast that would keep you going all day. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - you won't spend your money better anywhere else.

It's true that once you're inside it could be anywhere. I suppose that one Premier Inn room is much like another, but the room was good - large, great bed, good bathroom. It was slightly tired and there was a lingering smell of the kitchen, which was situated on the floor below, although not directly below, which was worse when the window was open. The hotel is well-located for the town centre and the railway station - although carrying a heavy bag up the steps to the station was a bit of a pain. Staff were friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent - as good as I've had in much more expensive places. Coffee wasn't very strong, orange juice was cheap and ordinary out of a carton. I would return, but would probably ask for a room in a different location.

We stayed here for one night and was very impressed about the quality of the hotel and the room especially for the good price we paid.

Bed nice and comfortable and loved the blackout curtains.

Staff very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay.

I've stayed at this Premier Inn three times in the last twelve months and it has been excellent every time.

The location is perfect for visiting the city centre and university. Secure car parking at the rear at a discounted daily rate is a bonus.

The rooms are the same as all Premier Inns, comfortable and functional. The restaurant and bar are well above average for this type of establishment.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
