I stayed for 1 night due to a business appointment. Paul welcomed me and offered the evening meal even though I should have booked 24hrs previously. I made the correct decision in staying in - great food and even greater company. Paul encourages discussion if required or will leave you to your own devices if that is your preference.A spacious Room and the breakfast the following day exceptional. Would love to return with the family to explore the area

We stayed at the Yeo Dale for one night after 6 nights in the UK and it was the best hotel experience to that point. Paul, the owner is very friendly and accommodating and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was great with careful presentation and attentive service. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for 4 nights and the comfort and service were excellent. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Room was a decent size with a well appointed en suite. No need to eat out even though the town, and its restaurants, is close by. The in hotel food is superbly cooked and is recommended. Would certainly stay again.

We stayed overnight in order to attend a friend's wedding.
We were behind schedule and the hotel organised a cab to get us to the wedding on time. They were very sympathetic with us as we had had a fairly difficult journey. This set the standard for the very high level of customer service we were to experience.
However that is only half of the reason why the Yeo Dale gets five out of five.
It is obvious that that a huge amount of thought and effort has been put into the decor, funishing and layout of this beautiful building. The bed was superbly comfortable, and the towels were the most luxurious we have ever had in any hotel (including 5 star). Breakfast was a gourmet delight, served on linen tablecloths and white china.
The Yeo Dale epitomises the type of hotel we love staying in: full of character, clean, classy yet charming. It's reason enough on its own to visit Barnstaple again.

Room Tip: Wenad room 9 overlooking the river and main road. Noise was not an issue and we slept soundly. The...

A fleeting visit en route to another venue. A lovely traditional building with some nice features retained. The room was lovely and airy, clean and well furnished. Very welcoming host! Rather pricey was the only negative.
Unfortunately I had to leave early and so didn't have time to sample the breakfast.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel over the past six months. The hotel is excellent in everything it does from Breakfast to the cleaniness of the room. Also if you get the opportunity then you must sample the Meal in the hotel of an evening, the food is superb and the main meals are different every time. Its a shame I will not have the opportunity to stay in this Hotel in the coming months but should I ever need to stay in the area then their is only one choice!

Room Tip: All rooms are of an equal standard although the size can vary but there is something to suit everyon...

I stayed here with my daughter and friends for 3 nights. Lovely large rooms, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Our rooms were at the front, and the road is noisy from quite early in the morning, so if traffic noise bothers you it might be a problem. Parking not great if you don't get one of the few spaces opposite. There are no public rooms for guests. Overall a very comfortable stay, with friendly staff. Breakfast cooked to order and really delicious.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front are lovely, but quieter at the back.
