Owner description: We have a huge fast flowing 500+ Metre indoor track, the biggest of its kind in Cumbria with top of the range Sodi Go Karts reaching a top speed of upto 40mph. We now have an extra fleet of Go-Karts which are even faster, 270cc Adult karts... let the fun begin We are a family run business and have been open 5 years now. We have a high tech 4 lane bowling alley in the same building, with a cafe, arcades and a fully licenced bar, Great fun for all the family. You can make a day of it and it is the closest Karting or Bowling to Coniston, Lake District and all of our Karts and Bowling Lanes are very well maintained... 5* Hygiene rating We are most likely the only company in the uk to host Go Karting and Bowling under the same roof, so what are you waiting for... you will never forget a day out if you come here. Fun for all ages and safety is No.1 we have a fantastic safety record. All employees are fully trained, polite// informative and experienced and will do their best to ensure you have a brilliant time

Hi Sara,

First we would like to thank you not only for your kind comments but also for visiting Cumbria Karting. It's great that both your nineteen and six year old could take part in what we have to offer.

And secondly, Well done to your little man on passing his Junior Driving Licence! Hopefully he will be back soon to join our Kids Club on Monday nights or the Junior Grand Prix on the last Sunday of every month.

Kind Regards
Cumbria Karting

Hello Ctointhian,

As explained in the 'black flag' notice, that is asked to be read when signing disclaimers, and explained in more detail in the safety briefing, karting is a none-contact sport.

We do allow slight contact as expected from time to time. However, frequent and malicious contact as demonstrated in your event is far from acceptable. Not only are you potentially damaging the karts and track but, most importantly, you are putting the health and safety of other drivers at risk.

We understand and show sympathy towards those that may not have been driving dangerously. However a total of 6 black flags does result in the full group being black flagged and the race to be called to a stop. As you may be aware, some of the drivers were warned numerous times during the race as well as individually punished for dangerous driving.

Finally Cumbria Karting does not tolerate customers to verbally abuse and threaten staff. Also being part of the banger racing industry is not an excuse nor does it justify dangerous driving.

Only been here once, but really enjoyed it. The cars are nice and quick, and they didn't seem to mind that my girlfriend at the time was driving like a lunatic.

Definitely worth a visit, although it can be a little pricey (as always with go karting)

Thank JonathonCB

Hi Jonathon,

Thank you for your visit and review of Cumbria Karting, we're happy that you and your girlfriend at the time enjoyed yourselves at our facility.

As you said go karting can always be a little pricey, however to try and bring down the costs for our customers we do run some great deals during the week. If you like our Facebook page you can find out more information about those up and coming deals.

Once again, thank you for your kind comments and we hope to see you at the track again soon! With or without a girlfriend who drives like a lunatic :)

Kind Regards
