very bizzare and for nearly £9 a ticket

“Good service but dirty screen.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

Myself and my boyfriend went to the cinema on a Tuesday for a date night. Due to the cinema being changed to vue and the prices increasing significantly for nothing extra, we went on the cheapest day. However when we asked if the screen we were in was ready the member of staff looked confused and then mumbled that it was ok to go in. As we went in the lights were down so it was difficult to see where we were going. As we got to our seats we noticed the screen had not been cleaned. It was full of rubbish from the previous screening. To say the least it is disappointing to pay to go and see a film in a dirty screen. This has happened on several occasions to myself.

“Name change to vue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

We went to see the startrek 3d film which was good, but the seats are hard as hell, either that or i have a jelly bum..

A lot of broken seating in the spot where folk have slashed them and looks very poor, so hopefully thay get there act together and replace asap

Sound is very good and going again soon.

“Good screen sound, food/drink overpriced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Been many times to this cinema, generally had a good experience. Food and drinks is very over-priced (as you would find with nearly all cinemas), screens are good size, with good acoustics and have enough seats through out all the 6 screens available (I have been in all 6 at least once) seating is a bit cramped for someone like me who is over 6ft tall and could do with a better clean (chewing gum all around the seats, watch where you put your hands!) staff are friendly and have even recommended what to watch when I have just turned up on the night who friends and have not booked to see anything.

“Now Vue cinemas!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

We regularly visit and the takeover by Vue has improved a good cinema. We can take advantage of reductions and find the cinema very good value though have never bought refreshments! Sales staff are average but the seats are comfortable, screens ample and sound generally very good. Only exception was the excellent Les Miserables when the film in studio 3 cut into the quiet bits in Les Mis. Probably best to look to volume control on children films....a big improvement from Vue is the replacement of very long trailers with shorts and better adverts...Previously you could wait 30 mins for the film to start.
