My wife and I, our son and daughter- in-law and our 5 and 7 year old grand daughters all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the comfortable Jasmine cottage (made all the better by perfect weather) Sarah was prompt and efficient during the booking process responding quickly to any queries we had. The attractions of Bowness and Lake Windermere are only a short stroll away. Our grand daughters loved the Beatrix Potter exhibition and show and I would highly recommend the return steamer trip from Bowness to Wray Castle and Brockhole. A very minor point would be the addition of a coat hangers above the shoe rack to hang damp coats if the weather turned inclement, but this is not picking. We would definitely stay again.
Had an enjoyable stay in the comfortable cottage in an excellent location to explore The Lakes. Only a small walk to the centre of Bowness with plenty of bars and restaurants. Only downside is that parking can be difficult although we did stay over a busy Bank Holiday weekend. Would thoroughly recommend to anybody.
We had a wonderful time in Sarah’s cottage - just a short stroll to the shops and centre of the village. Beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and a spacious bathroom and lounge room. Would recommend anyone to stay at jasmine cottage - and especially a visit to the Laura Ashley hotel - The Belsfield Hotel with stunning views over Lake Windermere.
We had three lovely nights at Jasmine Cottage. Communication from Sarah was great and access made easy. Lots of space on the road outside for parking.
Short stroll down the hill to Bowness, it's a great base for exploring the area.
We were lucky to have glorious weather for The Lakes (didn't get rained on once!)
In the house, we found the sofas really comfy, everything was clean and the style seemed fitting for the area. (If you're looking for sleek, ultra modern, perhaps it's not the place for you.) As others have said the basement bedroom was a little cool.
With 8, 6, 4 and 2 year olds we set them all up in the twin bedroom on the first floor so that they could be closer to us and the children used the basement room for playing. We could get all four children in the giant bath!! The kitchen was well appointed.
Minor thing; I think some coat hooks above the shoe rack would be a great addition.
Thanks Sarah for a memorable holiday. :o)
Stayed at Jasmine cottage for 3 nights with my wife, my daughter and husband and her family of 2 boys. This rustic cottage had everything we needed, it was clean, cosy, warm and comfortable. Had a washing machine, dishwasher and modern cooker but the thing that made it for us was the open fire with an ample supply of coal and logs. Beds were comfortable and the central heating made the whole house cosy. 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bo'ness and the steamers. Will most definitely stay here again. Many thanks to owners Sarah and Andy.
Lovely cottage, well looked after and with all amenities needed for a week's stay. Only down side was the second double bedroom in the basement. It was cold even with heating on, could definitely do with a carpet on the floor or at least some rugs.
