“I've ate here twice in the last seven days”

We make a bee line to this pub for lunch or dinner every time we are in the Lake District as we always find it very good value for money and excellent quality.
You are welcomed by helpful friendly staff and the portions are substantial and very well presented. The fish and chips, roast beef Sunday lunch and the burger and chips are firm favourites of ours.
We have eaten here over 15 times in the last 12 months and the quality has always been the same.
Recommended.

“Obviously don't want people to come back, take the money and run.”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

very disappointed, ordered five meals and all pretty sub standard. Greasy fast food pretending to be homecooked. Mind you the coffee was good. My rissotto over herbed, cheese Mac' oily, ham and egg, how could you get that wrong, etc etc. Sorry never again.

“Pretty good”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

We popped in to the albert as it was the nearest pub and it was raining heavily. When we got in it was much nicer than we though from the outside. We enjoyed a good lunch and a couple of drinks at a really good price. It was busy - always a good sign - so would recommend.

“Fab day out”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

After feeling sorry for ourselves after having dentist check up, decided to treat us to a pub lunch.
As wew were not starving we chose from the lunchtime menu at £6.50 per head.
I chose the lamb henry and to be honest i was expecting a small pice of lamb, but nope a decent lamb henry served on mashed potato with gravey and veg fantastic value well worth a visit.
The other meal again from the lunch time menu was a burger with chips and salad. well worth the again £6.50. Well done The Albert pub for giving value for money.
