Had a meal here for Valentines, recommend the mussels in salsa for starter! Good choice of specials for main or Pasta meals on standard menu.. Excellent service attentive without being obtrusive. Meal for 2 starter and mains, bottle of wine and two coffees £77, not that expensive. All in all a lovely little restaurant with excellent food and service!

Me and my boyfriend ate here last night. Place looks lovely inside, nice and cosy. Wine was really nice, staff were really friendly and efficient. But for us the food just wasn't up to scratch. My cannelloni wasn't the best I have had, wasn't piping hot in the middle, my boyfriend had spaghetti bolognese which he said wasn't the best either, which was a shame really as the restaurant seemed great and very popular. I would eat here again but probably try something else, someone on the table opposite us had a pizza which looked lovely!

Good choice of dishes We enjoyed the tasty tapas which was hot and well prepared. Lots of other interesting main course dishes on offer. Pleasant ambiance with excellent service. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a great meal at Roberto's, in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere, having arrived on a Friday evening without a booking. Considering that the restaurant is fairly small, we were pleasantly surprised by this. Overall the ambience is cosy and welcoming. The staff were very prompt and attentive.

The food was simply excellent, with a reasonable range of dishes and a good number of daily specials. The specials included four meat dishes, two fish dishes and a vegetarian dish. All of the food is locally sourced and prepared beautifully. The desserts were also mouthwatering.

The wine list was rather short, with only a few varietal choices. Importantly for a family restaurant, there was a fair proportion of wines available by the glass or half bottle.

Overall, a really good Italian restaurant and one of the best meals we have had on this trip, with very good value.

We booked in advance and were pleased we did as it was obviously busy and people were being turned away. The food was quite pricey but it was nice. We had the belly pork and black pudding and a nice bottle of red to wash it down. We would probably eat here again when staying in Bowness.
