Bowness is not short of good places to eat but this must rank among the best.Very friendly waitresses, and a good range of food -we especially enjoyed the slow cooked belly of pork and lamb shank while the pavlova is to die for.As a bonus try their home made dips with beautiful bread -my daughter sufficiently impressed to buy a bottle of balsamic syrup.Highly recommended

We dined with friends after reading the reviews. We had requested to sit upstairs and this was accommodated. Seating on the first floor is less densely packed as compared with the ground floor and offered a relaxing atmosphere.
The waitress was excellent and took an interest in our choices and ensured that we were satisfied throughout the meal.
You should be aware that there are no steaks available on the menu. Apart from this, the restaurant offers a varied menu. We chose from the specials board and enjoyed the garlic mushroom brushetta, and home made pate followed by slow cooked lamb and venison.

Deserts were excellent (not low calorie!).

We look forward to returning.

Had a very good meal in the restaurant. I had the goats cheese starter followed by the duck. My husband also had goats cheese followed by the slow cooked lamb. The meat was superb but the only negative was lack of vegetables. We were only offered broccoli which my husband doesn't like as an accompaniment. We could've complained but we were so full from the both courses we didn't bother. Wine was a little on the pricy side too.

Bright, welcoming decor. Friendly, hard working staff. Delicious food. My seafood spaghetti was the best I have had for a long while. The tables and chairs are a bit on the small side, and the space between tables is negligible,
