My husband and I stayed at the end of July for three nights.
We were made very welcome by Jason who collected our luggage form our car and delivered it our room.
The room was spacious & nicely presented with colour co-ordinated furnishings, The on-suite facilities were spotless and there were unexpected toiletries plus lovely plush towels.

Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of cereals, fresh fruit, various juices and compote etc. The cooked menu was also extensive & cooked to order, which was very quickly served after submitting your order.

Our room faced over looked the front entrance which whilst being interesting also meant that the road noise was very obvious especially at 6:45 am every morning as the bin men appeared to make as much noise as they possibly could, plus all the delivery vehicle unloading in front of all the nearby restaurants & bars, Do not let this put you of visiting Laurel Cottage, just request a rear facing room as the situation is very central with no hills to climb.
Thank you Jason & team for a nice stay, hopefully we will be back to sample your new restaurant soon.

Room Tip: Ask for a rear facing room or one with triple glazing.

We booked this hotel the week before we went primarily because of its location. What a surprise! It's a beautiful hotel right in the centre of Bowness. We were upgraded to a four poster room with breakfast served in our room the following morning which was delicious and such a treat, it made us feel really special! Jason & his staff were lovely and very friendly, taking the time to chat to us. The rooms are spacious and very clean (and quiet given the location). Free parking is an added bonus. We'll stay here again!

Room Tip: We had room 12 which had a 4 poster bed, plenty of storage, a lovely little dining area and a large...

Hi there,
Thank you so much for such kind words, again, its Nice to actually have reviews from REAL GUESTS who stayed with us and not competitors or friends of the previous owners.. This website allows anyone to write on it and it can very much damage ones dedication and hard work, not to mention all the members of staff that we apreciate so very much also.
Thanks so much and see you both again soon.

We could only stay for one night on12th July, our Anniversary due to hotel being booked up. Jason and his staff could not be more attentive. The room was lovely and clean and toiletries of high quality. Breakfast was delicious. Cannot wait to return in 3 weeks.
Thanks.
keith and Debbie.

A B&B with parking is a great asset in Bowness, the car park is a little steep but worth it. Staff are lovely and couldn't do enough to help, we had an upgrade with a four poster! Rooms are spotless with a fridge and a Bose iPod dock which was great. The location couldn't be better for a night exploring the local bars! The cooked breakfast was delicious made with local produce. Would recommend!

Not much to fault this hotel on really!!
Stayed in the heatwave last month (weekend of 12th to 14th July) and sleep was slightly uncomfortable due to lack of air conditioning and the shower/bathroom was slightly too small but that was about it!!

Breakfast was superb, probably one of the best I've had at any hotel/B&B for years!!

I stayed in laurel cottage in Bowness on Windemere in may on the 17th and 18th. Although the room was ok I found the owner to be very rude. After booking the cottage for the two nights i booked the room for an extra night (16th May), before I set off on the 16th I rang the owner to query a couple of things and I was told that the room was booked by someone else and the owner tried to deny that I had booked the extra night. When I tried to say that I had already booked the extra night, I was spoke to very rudely and the owner threatened to cancel my booking for the full weekend. As the trip had been arranged for months I had to keep the room and book another hotel for the 16th at almost double the price. This was a huge inconvenience and was all because of a mistake made by the owner.
