Went here for a few drinks, open fire, and had the 6 nations on the TV only went in for 1 drink and spent most the evening in there very cosy.

If your in Windermere I would recommend popping in for a swifty but it doesn't seem a place where you can have a meal.

Thank James S

Went in the Stags Head on Friday evening with my wife and two friends and our dog Molly. There were no signs regarding dogs but one of the bar staff said dogs were welcome. After spending £60 over 3 hours a member of staff asked us to leave as dogs werent allowed after 9pm. Our dog was flat out asleep under the table and had been the whole time we were there.Embarrased at the way this was done we left the pub leaving a group on the next table who had just arrived and were drunk and swearing loudly. Im sure if i was the owner they would have left before the cute sleeping dog. We went to another pub where dogs were welcome and drunken idiots werent. Certainly wont be going in Stags Head again !!!

had a pit stop, a rest and a well earnt drink to wet the whistle, friendly staff, lots of rooms jutting off main bar, sandwich selection done in triangles on a platter for 1 was like for two amazing, warm beef baguette with mushrooms yummy, chips like ya mums mmmm, situated at the first rise of the hill from the pier, slate building welcomes you in, lovely staff waitress nothing too much, lots of people were booking in to stay even on a weekend to start February, cold and wet, didn't deter us any weather adventurers, and if you stay they have there own night club attatched to the back
