“Cruising on the longest and deepest lake”
Reviewed April 15, 2012

A variety of cruises to choose from with permutations from Lakeside, Bowness, Ambleside and Brockhole with the option of an all day rover ticket. Refreshments available on board. Commentaries on landmarks passed is limited wich is a shame.

“A nice boat ride to sea the lakes”
Reviewed April 15, 2012

We went on a green cruise which stopped off at Wray castle and visitor centre. The boat ride was nice and lovely way to see the views esp the mountains. The only thing was that it was overpriced for 40mins. But I supposed these are tourist prices.

hello Springchick. Many thanks for your review. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your cruise, Wray Castle & the Visitors Centre are two of my fav destinations on the lake. Did you know you can take a break in the green cruise, stopping at either of these places & catching a later boat back? Bring a picnic, make a day of it & its works out quite a value for money day esp compared to parking charges!
The boats that operate the green cruise are beautiful, traditional launches that are on the National Register of Historic vessels. They are very expensive to maintain to the high standards expected. Taking these & other costs such as diesel (which certainly isnt cheap at the mo!), staffing etc, we try to set our prices at a reasonable pitch.
The general consenus from customer feedback & the last three reviews on this forum suggest that our prices are value for money.
We thank you for your feedback & hope you decide to visit us again in the near future

“A life on the ocean waves.”
Reviewed April 13, 2012

Wonderful, we bought the round the Lake ticket where u can go from Bowness to Lakeside, back to Bowness, on to Brock Hole, Then to Ambleside and finally back to Bowness. We had a Fabulous day traveling on both the larger and smaller vessels. On one we had the salon to ourselves and enjoyed an upmarket Picnic, as it was too cold out on deck. Good value if you go to all the destinations.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

The beautiful Windermere Lake...amazing mountain covering it...and we on a superb Cruise to enjoy all this thing. It was my best part of being in Lake District. The cruise journey was really fascinating. The cruise was quite big with ample of space, nice restaurant with toilet facility. It was worth every penny.
