“Lovely cinema and excellent value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

Our first visit but we will definitely be returning. This is an excellent facility in Bowness. Such a refreshing change from modern soleless multiplex cinemas. Food and drink is reasonably priced. We will buy an ice cream at the interval next time now we know that happens. Look forward to coming again. Thank you.

“Stepping back in time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Went to watch turbo with our kids, half expected punch and Judy when the curtains went up! Just like the cinema I used to go to when I was a boy. Would highly recommended for nostalgia alone.

“Good value cinema”

This was a great cinema for a holiday film. Tickets and snacks were well priced and not a rip off. We sat in the circle (slightly more expensive) and got a good view of the screen.

“Three screens and comfortable seats”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

There is always room in the Royalty and if you get there early you can park for free in the cinema car park. Staff are OK, can be a bit abrupt, but when there are only 6 people in the audience it is not surprising!

“A good step back in time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

On a rainy day during our trip we booked premier tickets to see Tom Hanks new movie - Captain Phillips.
The theatre was recommended to us by a work colleague that said it was like stepping back in time, whilst watching a good modern movie. We were very pleased with our decision to get out of the rain...
Movie and venue both met expectations. Worth a visit if you don't like walking in the rain like us! enjoy!
