We had a lovely meal here. We ordered a half roast chicken and chips, 2 kids meals which were a good size (4.95 each) a chicken jalfrezi with rice which was really tasty according to my hubby and a fish and chips. The fish and chips was a huge portion and the batter was lovely and crispy. The half roast chicken was really tatsy and piping hot. The total for the bill for 5 oof us 3 mains and two childrens meals with drinks came to £44.00. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

We ordered meas in John Peel and they were fantastic. I had a ploughman's lunch and it was huge, full of so many different nibbles, amazing amount of everything and it was all delicious!

We called in here for dinner as we were impressed by the choice of menu. Pub was very old fashioned - vegetable a served with the dinner were almost in edible - hard and cold.

We visited as a party of four on a visit back in March. We visited this pub on a couple of occasions as the cottage we were staying was just a couple of doors down from it.

We went in for drinks on a couple of occasions and on the Saturday evening we decided to eat there.

The menu was plentiful and included a specials board and we all picked different things, which were delivered promptly and the food was tasty.

We stayed after eating for a few drinks and will visit again when we visit Bowness.
