Great central location.Room (no1) large with views of the lake, very comfortable.Staff welcoming & chatty. Restaurant cosy, food tasty.Lovely small sitting area on the ground floor with fire glowing, great for a chilly evening. A real vibrancy to the hotel.

The hotel has a good sized free car park and the hotel and gardens are very attractive from the outside. Our room was small but very clean with all the facilities, apart from a bath! The bed was very comfortable. The noticeable thing about this hotel, was its great atmosphere and popularity with everyone, it was buzzing with people in a nice way. The breakfast was very good, all staff were excellent and quick to serve. We ate in the restaurant the second evening and the food was lovely. We would hIghly recommend this hotel. We would stay again.

Overall a very pleasant stay - the hotel is situated perfectly being just 5 mins walk to lake Windermere and we found it a good base to go on to other areas. Good sized free car park too.
Hotel - very welcoming, efficient and accommodating and welcoming staff. The room was fine for an overnight stay - clean and tidy with good facilities including tea and coffee, brochures for the surrounding area, hair dryer and shower sets. No qualms at all.

Breakfast - lots on offer and was seen to very quickly by the staff despite there being only one person serving. Buffet had various juices, cereals, fruit salad, jams etc and a choice of tea or coffee; there was also the menu so lots of choice.

Food/restaurant - for lunch we sat in the gardens at the front of the hotel which i thought was a very nice feature. We had a steak sandwich with chips and thought it was beautiful. The steak was juicy and succulent, cooked to perfection!!! On this basis we immediately booked in the restaurant for our evening meal. Again the food was beautiful. Be sure to book as the restaurant soon gets full!

Neither side of the business is neglected because of the other, i feel the Angel Inn marries restaurant and hotel very well - one that i would recommend and return to.

Recently stayed at the Angel with the wife for a weekend which was a Xmas present off our son and his girlfriend. Our room was lovely and clean and had a lovely view over the lake. On the Saturday we ate in the restaurant and had a beautiful meal although the wife did say her custard could have been a bit thicker !!!!! We will definitely be back in the not to distant future.

Had a evening meal here, and ordered the pan fried salmon, with mash and broccoli. It was the best meal i have ever tasted.
Good level of service, very nice restaurant for family or cosy snug places for the adults to just relax and chill too.

A lovely hotel, welcoming log fire and well stocked bar. The rooms were lovely and clean and had all necessary items for a good nights sleep. The free voucher for the Old England Hotel leisure pool was a lovely surprise. We ate in the restaurant and nothing was too much trouble even though they were very busy. The staff accommodated our none resident guests for breakfast etc and we had a lovely break with family and friends without the kids !

We ate here on a Friday night while away for the bank holiday weekend with our dog, the dog was allowed in the front 2 rooms of the pub one of which is very cosy with an open fire. Menu choice was good and a specials board offering 5/6 different items. Meat was cooked well and as ordered still moist and tasty and service was timely.
