My girlfriend an I decided to eat at the Angel Inn for the second time and were not disappointed! The food and service we received was fantastic. Although it is slightly on the expensive side, it was well worth it. You are paying that little bit extra for great, fresh, home made food and is great for a treat.

I had the chicken pie which was quite possibly one of the best pies I have ever eaten and my girlfriend had cod with tempura langoustine in a seafood bisque which was superb!
The Angel is also a great place to sit and have a quiet drink, if you can get on the sofa in front of the open fire then it's even better!

We will definitely come back here for a meal again next time were in the Lakes, thank you!

Stayed for 3 nights with the other half and really enjoyed ourselves here. Rooms are a bit on the small side but that's about the only complaint. Service is excellent, and special mention for the food which, although pricey even by bowness standards, is some of the best we've had. Had the full English breakfast first morning and didn't need to eat again till later in the evening, awesome!

We stayed for one night, this hotel is in a great location overlooking the lake and bowness. The food was lovely, with plenty to choose from. we'd booked a suite, but ended up getting free upgrade to the best in the hotel because a tap in our original one was broken. it was a beautiful room. We will be back

Every year we have a mini break in the Lake District and the Angel Inn was absolutely fabulous. The rooms are very clean, spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. The location is central to Bowness and there is parking too. The breakfast was excellent. We stayed 2 nights in a family room, which had a double bed in one room and a bed settee in the other. There is a pub and restaurant downstairs, this is not noisy and provided a lovely open fire and evening dining or just a glass of wine :) I would recommend to a friend and definitely return again. The Price for our family room was just over £100.00 per night B&B well worth it, as last year I wrote a review that was slightly less in price but not anywhere near as nice.

Had a nice meal on our first night in Bowness at The Angel Inn after numerous visits in the past still maintaining a very good standard although a little expensive compared to some of the other local restaurants at £67 for me and my fiancée ordering a starter and main course with 1 round of drinks however I can't really complain as the food was lovely. I look forward to returning in the summer time for a nice pint of local ale sitting outside.

I have been to this venue twice for lunch with my family-mainly because I could not believe how good the food was the first time. Excellent menu choice, beautifully presented food, flavoursome, with generous portions. The staff were friendly and engaging especially Yasmin who served us on both our visits. It is the sort of place that is a delight to stumble upon. Set back from the main road it doesn't have the prestigious lakeside location that so many hotels have in Bowness but it more than makes up for it with a chic, yet welcoming, interior and a really warm atmosphere.

Popped in here on way through Lakes after eating here a few weeks ago. Both times we found the service and food to be excellent. First time was with family and a number of 'busy' children. The staff were helpful, patient and kind to the kids - we hadn't booked and it as a Sunday. Second time was just as a couple. Again a quick stop for food but wanted to stay longer. Simple and hearty food, great value and excellent service once again - someone does staff training well. Relaxed atmosphere and the perfect start to out break away.
