What a lovely hotel, excellent staff and fantastic cuisine. Just spent three great days enjoying the countryside in the Lakes and what better way to relax than to come back each evening to a log fire, friendly and attentive staff in a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was great with a really wide menu. We enjoyed ourselves so much thinking of returning soon.
Thank you to the manager and all
The staff for making us feel at home.

Just got back from another stay in this great hotel (actually stayed in the lodges - again)
I have been staying here since 2002, sometimes 3 times a year and I really can’t recommend it highly enough, a fantastic location and a beautiful hotel.
All the staff are as helpful as ever, very friendly, very helpful – always remember that I have stayed before – nice touch.
A perfect location for basing yourself from if you like walking (as we do) over the Lakes or just pottering about Windermere.
Recently changed hands (away from English Lakes Hotels to another Management company – sorry – name escapes me) with a new General Manager, but still same excellent level of service
Like it so much, booked again for another 2 visits next year

Room Tip: Obviously go for Lake view rooms in the hotel or a lodge that backs onto the Lake

My boyfriend and I stayed at Storrs hall mid-week in October and had such a good time. We booked a deal which included a lake view room and breakfast. The rooms were absolutely massive and the hotel has so much character and charm.

The rooms were clean, bed was huge and comfortable and the bathroom was massive with a roll top bath too!

Breakfast was fantastic, menu included full english, eggs with salmon, porridge, yoghurt, etc. We also sat in a little conservatory to eat which had views of the lake - just stunning.

There was plenty of spaces in the car park and Bowness with it's lovely restaurants and shops was about a 5 minute drive max.

Staff at the restaurant were also really helpful and polite.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was fantastic.

Not that much to say on this other than always wanted to stay here as it looks great which it is really.
However very dated in need of some big money to bring back to life as furniture is very worn out carpets need replaced and a good coat of paint all over.
Shame really as the location is fantastic

We had a lovely time staying in the Storrs Hall. A really magical experience. The room was very plush with a beautiful view. The grounds are stunning with the Lake lapping in, in all directions. Our little boy loved exploring the wildlife and skimming stones and paddling in the Lake. The staff were very warm and kind and were particularly lovely to our little boy. They set up a bed at the end of ours for him to sleep in which worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious, overlooking the Lake and again with very friendly, attentive and personable staff. A very enjoyable stay.

Booked through Secret Escapes. Three nights accommodation in a lake view room, full English breakfast in the majestic dining room overlooking the lake and gardens. The offer included a 3 course meal in the Terrace Restaurant. Staff were polite and helpful and the meals were pleasant. The hotel was quite a way along the lake from the attractions, restaurants etc, so it was useful to have our car with us. The garden was beautiful and well kept. We were very lucky to have fantastic weather when we stayed.

great deal through secret escapes. lovely English heritage. I cant speak highly enough about the hotel and staff. Even breakfast was an 'experience'. sitting in the dining room overlooking lake windermere, attentive service and lovely well presented food. The only minor critique I would have... and it is minor is how quite the dining room and bar area was.. my partner and I found ourselves whispering out of courtesy because we could hear everyone else talking. Maybe a bit of background music may be good? Tom Jones always a winner!!! Jokes apart I felt relaxed and comfortable and we had a great time exploring the lakes and local area..

Room Tip: Lake view.....
