Sunday evening carvery with my daughter. Live locally and have been here before - sometimes good, sometimes not ! This time was lovely. Kids eat free on Sundays which I only found out on paying. Food selection on the carvery was great. I got over charged for my drinks but on the second round this was sorted efficiently and without quibble, a free soft drink given. The place was fairly busy and a good atmosphere. Would recommend for a cheap and cheerful, fill you up big time meal !

Fantastic value, £4.19 for a carvery. This was an excellent meal combined with amazing value, Fresh, hot meats plated for you and then help yourself to as much veg as you can pile on.....Excellent. Reasonably priced drinks at the bar, staff were very friendly.

We visited with friends 1 day, Quick service for the carvery as its buffet style so can have as much or as little as you want and ready to go to from the minute you pay.
Dan behind the bar is very cheerful and helpful and lets you know about all the deals on.
Staff seem nice, being young women the chefs seem a little on the perverse side.
Now it is really really good value for money as a medium carvery and pint of coke is around £6.
The restaurant is very run down and your feet stick to the wooden floor, torn seat, the tables could do with stripping and re polish, and chairs need new upholstery.
The sides of the tables need a good clean as found alsorts of rotten food, fingernails etc that had been there for a while by the looks of things. Dead flies hanging from the ceiling where we were sat and big cobwebs on the lights behind us.
I found a turkey bone in my dinner too which was a major put off.

Slightly run down but good carvery and drinks only downside was a very noisy ice cream machine. Some steep steps to climb but once inside nice and comfortable.

The place does its job well; it feeds the hungry people... and it really feeds them well :-)
We had no issues regarding cleanliness, though the furnishing is obviously not brand new. It is true that the windows had cobwebs etc, but only from the outside, where it was not easy to reach... This had no adverse effect on our appetite!
