“Wonderful gem for old and young alike”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

Immerse yourself into the world of Beatrix Potter. Plenty to keep both young and old interested. Also the museum contains a great little cafe for lunch or tea / cakes, to keep everyone happy !

“Great for big kids aged 48 and 52”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

We decided to visit the World of Beatrix Potter on a dreary wet day in November. Earlier in the week we had visited Beatrix Potter's cottage and the lovely village of Hawkshead (a visit to Hawkshead is highly reommended) We really enjoyed the exhibitions which retold the stories that Beatrix Potter wrote. We spent about an hour and a half looking round. There were many small details that appeared if you looked closely - I particularly liked looking at the foxgloves - the artistry was amazing. I would happily return and didn't think the price was particularly expensive considering the upkeep and work put into setting it up. We thought the gift shop had a very good range of gifts and came away with a number of souvenirs.

“Not to old to visit”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Visited the attraction and think we were the only couple without children but still found the visit very enjoyable. It brought back all our childhood memories of the stories and characters in a very enjoyable setting and atmosphere. Well worth the admission price.

“Children will love this!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

My children loved visting this museum. It is a little pricey but worth it as it is so different from most other childrens' attractions. There are little 'sets' that show scenes from Beatrix Potter's many books and they are very realistic. This is a must-see if you visit the Lake District.

“Brilliant visit!”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

This was so much better than we expected. We took a 10 year old and thought it may be too young for her. However, there is an amazing interactive section in the middle of the tour. The timeline pictures of Beatrix's life was good too.
We ended our trip in the tea room and had afternoon tea - which was lovely - the cakes and and scones were all deliciious!
