“Perfect view from the hill”
Reviewed August 12, 2014 via mobile

We stayed for one night in this stylish hotel and it really deserves to be a Laura Ashley Hotel. You can see the signs of Laura Ashley everywhere. Hotel is still under renovation but it seems it will be best hotel around by far when it is completed. Very nice hotel, strongly recommended.

An excellent hotel. Friendly staff and nice food. The host "Csaba" made a big difference to our visit by giving excellent ideas and suggestions especially for redtaurants.

The reception staff were excellent too especially the Romanian lady, i can't remember her name.

Housekeeping service was the negative part. They did not come to our room intil 4 pm. It wasn't a good time for us. We told them to come later but they refused because our room was the ladt room to clean and they want to go home after they finish cleaning our room. So, there was no housekeeping service done that day!

We only stayed 1 night but the service we got was brilliant. Very attentive staff and knowledgeable about the area. Very enjoyable and will definitely stay again. We had 1 bedroom and 1 living room for our stay it was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the room too that arrived hot and on time. Which in comparison
to a Hilton we stayed at recently, the Belsfield puts them to shame! Absolutely lovely place and 3 en better now the main entrance is finished :-)

Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor.

I am delighted that you enjoyed the view from the hotel's terrace. With unimpeded views over Lake Windermere, with Belle Isle in the foreground and the Fairfield Horseshoe in the distance, I wholeheartedly agree that there is no better place to enjoy the sunset in the Lake District.

The refurbishment is often commented on and I am glad that you approve furthermore. The refurbishment brought a new Laura Ashley styled lease of life to our reception, lounges, restaurant, brasserie and bedrooms. All of which have been finished with Laura Ashley furnishings from top to bottom.

Thank you once again for your review and hopefully we can welcome you back to Laura Ashley Hotel, The Belsfield in the future.

Kind regards,

Joseph Cobb

Not much to say, got what we paid for and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Very nice view overlooking the lake and there are lots of places to eat close by, would recommend a visit to anyone but be weary the food prices are quite high and the lift is very small ha.

Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor.

I am delighted that you liked the hotel and the staff alike. The hotel has recently undergone a large makeover. The lounges, bedrooms, bar, reception and restaurant have all been completed with Laura Ashley finishing's from top to bottom. We have also created a further dining option for our guests, the Brasserie which has also been completed with Laura Ashley décor.

The staff will be most pleased that they have contributed to your stay and I will in turn pass on your nice comments. Here at Laura Ashley Hotel, each and every one of our guests is equally important to us.

Thank you once again for your review and hopefully we can welcome you back to Laura Ashley Hotel, The Belsfield in the future.

Maybe not the cheapest but still fantastic value for money 4 star hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in July. We had a suite which had just been renovated then decorated and furnished by Laura Ashley - superb! The views over the Lake are stunning. Dining room is luxurious again with fantastic views if you can get a window table. Both breakfast and dinner had excellent choices and wines are reasonably priced

Room Tip: Lake view is a must.

Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor.

I am delighted that you enjoyed your recent stay with us here at Laura Ashley Hotel, The Belsfield and particularly found the furnishings to be superb. The bedrooms have had a complete overhaul and we are now left with bedrooms with delightful Laura Ashley finishings throughout, This is also the case I the public areas of the hotel, such as the lounges, restaurant, brasserie, reception and the bar. All of which of course share the magnificent view of Lake Windermere and the fells beyond.

The dining options have been well received of late and I am delighted that this is something that you too enjoyed. We have created two completely differing dining experiences: in the Brasserie, we offer a more relaxed environment, offering rustic, traditional English dishes. Whilst in the Restaurant there is a specific focus on the presentation of the food as well as the flavour.

Thank you once again for your review and hopefully we can welcome you back to Laura Ashley Hotel, The Belsfield in the future.

Visited here for a coffee break, luckyly weather condition was approriate to spend some time in the garden with beautif ul view of the lake. The atmosphere either in garden and inside of the building were really nice. It is beautifully renovated and the decoration is really high class.
