We have stayed at this hotel on and off for many years, and enjoyed our stay over half term more than ever. Price and location have previously been key reasons for booking this particular hotel, however the standards in the hotel have clearly moved up a gear since our last stay. The food was vastly improved, the whole hotel seems to have had a deep clean (absolutely everything seemed to be spotless), and the staff were as courteous and efficient as ever. In our opinion the hotel is the ideal base for a first rate short break in the lakes.

40 friends stayed for 2 nights last weekend for a special celebration. Without exception all of us said what a wonderful stay we had had at The Belsfield. From the moment we arrived we were met by friendly Reception staff who made sure our needs were met with the allocation of rooms. The waiting on staff in the restaurant both at dinner and breakfasts were exceptionally good at their jobs. They all looked very smart, were polite and welcoming and spot on when it came to service. They complimented perfectly the wonderful view we were treated to from the windows, so meal times were a delightful experience. We had a function room to ourselves for dinner on Saturday and once again the staff were excellent .Service of the highest order. We must not forget the unsung heros, the kitchen staff at providing lovely meals for us, and also the staff that kept our rooms spotlessly clean and welcoming. Well done The Belsfield ! A weekend we will never forget.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a Lake View room. You won't regret it.

A really superb stay. We were allocated a room with a bay window overlooking the lake which with the very comfortable 4 poster bed was just perfection. Will certainly be back! It's a short walk through the well maintained grounds down to the lake and ferries so the location is both idyllic and convenient.

Room Tip: I'll keep the room number a secret but have a lake view is a must!
