Stayed 15 and16 Nov. Lovely homely room, very clean (room 2). Staff very helpful & friendly. Ate at hotel on 1st night was acceptable food, hubby loved the local beer, we could'nt fault the breakfast the following morning. After going out and about would have eaten in the pub again but it was very busy, we ate at Rumours absolutely fabulous meal, T/Bone steak and lamb shank to die for. 2nd breakfast was just as good as the day before.

Cannot believe in this day and age there are pubs, it's not an inn, just like a bikers hostel, in the middle of a tourist place without ensuite facilities. And to have to share a shower room and toilet with strangers and be charged £60 a night is just disgraceful!!!! Got booked into the belsfield for £79 with a massive room, bath, shower etc, a lake view and breakfast in the room!! Ok, it was booked on line for me by a colleague, but still totally shocked, the room, about
3m x2 metres only consisted of a double bed.

We have visited this pub several times for drinks and lunch. Great selection of beers, friendly staff and warm fires in winter. The bar food choice is excellent and the ham sandwiches with chunky chips are really tasty. Not long to wait even at busy times as they have plenty of staff and seem well organised.

Called in for lunch and found the staff very nice the food was good just enough to fill us up after a busy day there was an upstairs eating space for when it gets busy but we found a table near the bar where there was an open firewhich was lovely
