The bar offers a wide range of real ales and an excellent selection of vodkas, beers, brandies, and an extensive wine list with 50 wines from around the globe. In the summer, the Village Inn also launched a new range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, which have proved especially popular, in addition to new outside furniture and heaters. The Village Inn Bar and Grill is in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, its busy restaurant and bar make it a great place for locals and tourists a like. Come and see for yourself!

we were a party of 10 and there were a couple of other big parties. We were in at 7.30 but didn't get our main meal till 9.30 and that was after complaining. The food was lovely and the staff couldn't have been nicer,we got a complementary bottle of wine.it would appear to be a problem in the kitchen which needs sorting out.

All of our food is cooked fresh to order, which does mean that there is a delay on food orders. It is for this reason that we ask all big parties to supply a pre-order ahead of their reservation as it prevents any unnecessary delays. If one is not supplied, the kitchen can't prepare accordingly which will slow down the delivery of your meals. I am delighted that you enjoyed all of the food and found the staff to be very accommodating.

My husband and I ate here tonight and we both thought the food was excellent. We also enjoyed cocktails and beers while sitting outside. All at a reasonable price. Although the restaurant was quite busy the service was great and the staff helpful. There are shaded areas to sit as well as being able to enjoy the sun if you want to and the restaurant is just set back far enough from the busy road not to affected by the noise.Inside the bar and restaurant areas are beautifully decorated. All in all very nice.

As the title suggest we were attracted to this place by the outdoor seating area given the amazing weather at the time. The venue had a modern feel to it which also reflected in the menu items. The service was more of a self service system where you'd order food at the bar and collect your own drinks and cutlery etc. We all ordered the fish and chips which came in a basket wrapped with newspaper, price was however on the steeper side for the old fish n chips. Would recommend this place for the summer.
