Arrived lunchtime to meet with friends and was absolutely starving. No staff were forthcoming so helped ourselves to menus after a little wait n still no staff we realised it was order at the bar. We did this and had to wait a considerable time for the food to arrive. When it did we didn't all get served at once and there was no cutlery which I went to fetch from a basket so my friends could start before their meals got cold. The food was worth waiting for and was very good and well presented. We again had to wait ages for anyone to clear our table and this was again a couple of plates cleared and a 15 min wait for the rest to be cleared. Would return for the food but service needs to improve. The decor is lovely and welcoming with a few fires lit for a homely feel and there were games on lots of the tables such as chess drafts dominos which was a nice touch.
