Again another really enjoyable stay. This time we stayed in the Hilltop suit, fantastic views from the balcony window. Very clean, staff fantastic....especially as they leave you alone to enjoy your romantic get away. I would gladly reccomend this place yet again to friends & family. Rooms are large with sleeping area, living area with fire,TV, tea & coffee facilities, lovely table and 2 chairs to enjoy your continetal breakfast with the views of the lake, tops of trees.....fab. This is in a fantastic location for Pubs, Resturants, boat trips, shops...etc
Having breakfast at 9.30 gives you time to have a lovely early walk
Car parking available is free

The rooms are very nice but we do feel a three seater settee would have been so much better than the two there is plenty of room for one. No complaints about the food at breakfast as we were told it was continental but we do feel 9.30am is a bit late and we should have the option to have it in our room for 8.30am as people need to have a full day out sometimes.I was a bit concerned about escape if there was a fire as only the main stairs as an exit route. all in all it is a beautiful guest house but maybe over priced at £140 per night.

Room Tip: most have lake views but the higher up you go the beter

We have visited the lakes for the past 5 years and did not know about this little gem. The suite was perfect and Marie made us very welcome even getting me a birthday card and bottle of wine - thank you again Marie. The suite was spacious and the view beautiful. The bed was comfortable and there were flat screen tvs on the wall opposite the bed and opposite the settee. It was like home from home. I was impressed with the contintental breakfast and loved every minute of our short break. I can honestly say we will be back and will be repeat visitors. Ideally situated to access the ferries and town - perfect.

Just come back from Bowness Bay Suites.
Great location within 2 min walk to pubs shops and the bay.We stayed in HillTop very nice and spacious. Nice lounge area with modern electic fire and tv area, nice touches are throw and wine glasses and small fridge.
Lovely furniture , nice dressing table and mirror. Bedding was very good quality and bed was very comfortable.
Room was spotless and very clean. Very pleasant staff and good car park .
If you want BB with bar and lounge this is not the place for you bu tif you want to enjoy each other company in very pleasant surroundings come here!!
We enjoyed late breakfast after eating out the day before and was very happy with breakfast basket with hot filtered coffee and tea, local yogurt and fruits , hot toast and pastries with cheese and ham.

Would come back again any time.
Only fault was the Typhoo tea use some local tea!!!

Room Tip: Choose room higher up for view

My husband and I have been to Bowness loads of times and i can't believe we have only just found this place. Great location and surprisingly quiet, extremely friendly, helpful staff and spotlessly clean room. We will definitely return.

The Bowness Bay Suites is a really fabulous B&B with a very homely feel to it. The young man on the front desk was always kind and curteous, helping us with our bags on arrival.
My first impression of our room The Cat Bells Suite just didnt have the wow factor i was hoping for. Our weekend break was an extension of our honeymoon and we think somewhere like the Winderemere Suites which have a bit more bling to them than the decor of this place which made me feel like i was staying the week at my grand parents. This along with the fact that the breakfast was a continental served at a specific time in your room, were the only draw backs. Toast, fruit and some cereal isnt the hearty breakfast we were looking for before a day out hiking.
I would highly reccommed the suites for someone looking for a higher level B&B than your average one in Bowness but £150 a night is quite steep.
Marie the propietor though was so kind to book us a complimentary meal at Jacobs (A-Mazing!) just a few doors down by way of apology that the rooms didnt meeet our expectations. Very kind and unnessacery as it was clearly written on the site about the continental breakfast, just i presumed maybe a cooked one would be served downstairs. Not the case.
Very nice B&B just not what we were hoping for.

Room Tip: Buttermere Suite was the nicest

We booked this place as it was no1 on trip advisor in bowness, we were not let down, our room was lovely decorated my misses said, not for me as it was light pink.... But still nice, lovely view over the lake and a great central location, breakfast was nicely presented but the only downside is that I would of preferred a full English but that's just me being fussy :-)
The owner was lovely and helpful, car park was at the back and there was plenty of room for parking. Altogether a great place to stay and we would return.
