The bar downstairs is a great place to start before moving up the stairs to the restaurant for a selection of Tapas.

The staff were great and the two ladies that waited on the table were both from Spain which helps with the authenticity of the restaurant.

The house Rioja was a perfect accompaniment to the tapas we ordered. We ordered 8 dishes which was one too many. The prawns I am told were perfect. The meat dishes were good.

The only thing if I was to be critical the music was not traditionally Spanish and spoilt the ambience of the restaurant a little. I did mention this to our waitress.

Overall experience was good and reasonably priced.

This is a public house downstairs and a pretty tapas place upstairs. I came here with a hen party of 10. The staff all seemed authentic Spanish and were very friendly and helpful. We asked them how many dishes we should order each. They said 3 but the majority of us ordered 4 dishes and a lot of food went to waste :(

I ordered the paella, tempura prawns in sweet chilli sauce, chicken skewers and patatas bravas. All my dishes were beautiful and quite large portions, especially the paella and the chicken pieces on the skewers were very big. Other great dishes were garlic bread which was huge foot-long french sticks, olives, mediterranean vegetables, crumbed whitebait etc. Dishes that were a bit disappointing was the overdone Spanish omelette and the spicy ground beef skewers.

We were all impressed with the size of the dishes, speed of service and the quality of the food overall. Definitely a place I would recommend to others. The decor was also very nice and you didn't really notice the noise from downstairs. As we left the place, there were people all over the place, spilling out onto the streets on such a nice night.

Looking around windermere we so suprise d to see tapas... our favourite. ..
Called in, a lovely day, to our suprise a really well thought out tapas menu.
We ordered Paella and patatas alioli. In a word the meal was sublime an absolute taste sensation. ..I just wanted to stay and try out even more of the various tapas delights...
If the other dishes were as good as the paella that we had...goodness, I cant wait to go back, and we certainly will be doing...
Well done Bodega Bar absolutely great...a real little part of Spain here in the Lake District. ..

Went here after disappointments at other places and this place was great. Lovely decor and food. The staff were extremely helpful. The cocktails were divine. We ordered 5 different dishes and each one was really nice.. although we weren't big fans of the potatoes. However, this was just a personal preference. I would definitely eat here again

Came here Sat 5 July 14 with family. There were five of us and where a little peckish and decided to have a few drinks and some tapas.
The tapas we chose was beautiful, tasty and plentiful... The Patatas Bravas was the best ive tasted and have a fab spicy sauce over the top. Meat balls looked like they were home made and the sauce beautiful and the ribs were tasty and the meat fell off the bone, chicken croquettes were nice too. We also had chicken skewers, plaice, garlic bread with and without cheese and we all loved everything we ate and said we would definately come back again. Guys loved the beers and there was a very big variety of real ales too. Prices not too bad at all...
