We visited the bar a year ago on our first time staying in the Lake District and we decided to go two out of the three nights we were there, we got seated in perfect seats and everything was spot on, this year the experience was a little different, we decided to go again on our first night, we was shown to our seats which was on the smallest table in the restaurant in between two other tables which was packed and as there was only two of us we didn't want to be made to feel awkward, we ten asked for a bigger table in the other room but was told that is was for staff only, although I saw no staff sit at it for the whole 2 hours we were there, we normally order about 9 dishes and on one small table it's abit of a hassle with no where to move stuff, we then sat on another small table next to the staff table right in the walkway of the main stairs and a birthday party but this was all forgotten after a couple of cocktails, our food arrived and was brilliant again. The second thing was that last year I ordered a Kwak beer which came in the special glass advertised and was good fun to drink, so I decided to get another this year but I was disappointed when it reached our table as it came in an ordinary beer glass which took the point if ordering it away. We did go again the next night and was able to sit on a bigger table and again enjoyed the night and food as always and will be visiting again
