We have just returned from a lovely short stay in the lakes. There for a friends wedding, we wanted somewhere with great location, a bit of luxury, but not at exuberant prices, and we got just that. We arrived late, stuck in Friday evening traffic, but Ann-Marie kindly waited to check us in, showed us our lovely room (we were in Kentmere, spacious and lovely en suite).
Breakfast was an amazing selection of self serve cereals, yogurts, jam, fruit and Paul's cooked breakfasts were a perfect start to the day.
The little touches like umbrellas and DVDs to borrow, the fridge outside the room to store proper milk for your tea and coffee, all add to the feeling that they really have thought of everything.
We would finitely come again, and highly recommend this b&b.
Didnt try out the spa facilities on offer at nearby hotel, but it was a short stroll to the shops and the church where were attending a wedding.

I travelled with my mature aged parents and we had the most wonderful stay. Ann Marie was a fantastic hostess and the breakfasts were outstanding. Loved her homemade jams. Our rooms were beautiful and the beds were perfect. The location was perfect, just a short stroll from their backyard through a tiny alley and you are on the Main Street. I would stay here every time I come to Bowness. Thanks again Ann Marie for the most wonderful stay.

Me and my wife recently stayed here for our honeymoon for 3 nights as we were looking for a nice relaxing mini break and we couldnt have chosen a better place! First impressions were brilliant as the hotel is tucked away nicely in a quiet little spot a couple of minutes walk from the lake, shops and restaurants and the small garden to the front looked lovely and gave a good impression as what to expect inside...Our room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we could need including a communal fridge for wines or beers and the huge bed was so comfy I we could have easily stayed in bed all weekend! Ann-Marie and Paul are perfect hosts, friendly, chatty and very helpful when we asked for recommendations for places to eat or visit and they certainly know how to rustle up a yummy breakfast, especially the pancakes! Mmmm! All in all I would definitely recommend to everyone that the Langdale view guest house is a brilliant little hideaway in the heart of the lake and deserves the plaudits already received...Brilliant :)

Recently stayed here on a 3 night break for my honeymoon, we stayed in the Kentmere and was not disappointed.

The room is spacious, clean, bright and luxurious, the bed is like sleeping on a marshmallow!

The hotel is set a street back from the Main Street in Bowness, literally a 1 minute walk to the high street and a 5 minute stroll to the lake.

The owners are friendly and welcoming without being intrusive

The breakfasts are fantastic, I fully recommend the pancakes!

I liked that we could borrow DVDs from their extensive collection to watch in our room with the added bonus of a communal fridge where we could chill wine/lager

A great stay and I hope to return soon!
