Our second time here, the rooms and garden are lovely, such a peaceful location in the heart of Bowness, having visited the lakes over forty times this is our go to hotel. Nick the owner is a great host, nothing is too much trouble, parking is easy with just the right amount of spaces.

We are just back from a fabulous stay this weekend in Room 3 at Fairfield House! Such a beautifully appointed room with plenty of space, lovely comfy bed and a great view over the lovely garden. The bathroom is huge and absolutely stunning! Great walk in shower and plenty of dressing space. Breakfast each day was plentiful and delicious. Lots of choice of cereal, fruit and yoghurt alongside a choice of full English or vegetarian breakfast. Didn't catch the lady's name at breakfast but she did a brilliant job serving everyone! Great communication and a very friendly welcome from Nick on arrival. Lots of personal touches throughout....especially enjoyed the homemade baked goodies outside the rooms in the afternoon! In a great location for walking into Bowness or for lots of walking trails right from the doorstep. There is ample parking and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! Already dreaming of being back in summer enjoying a glass of wine in the garden. We would 100% recommend Fairfield House and will not hesitate to return!

We have just stayed at this lovely B & B for the weekend. Every aspect of our stay was good. The people ,the room and a wonderful range of food offered for breakfast. Then the small touches offered during our stay ,cake in the afternoon ,fresh milk in mini bottles, plentiful tea and coffee, wine glasses and corkscrew, numerous good quality showering products. We will be staying again.

Its a gem! really good stay, the place is spotlessly clean and really good attention to detail. Had all the little extras you would want and more you never normally think about. Really good location with parking and the steep hill isn't that bad once you give it a go. Breakfast is really good, good quality ingredients all nicely cooked. Due to the weather we couldn't use the garden however it looks lovely and I could defiantly imagine us sat outside in the summer with a bottle of wine, which is when we next plan to visit.

Booked a last minute 2 night stay in Room 5. Wow! Fabulous views and lots of personal touches (homemade shortbread in your room, plus there’s daily homemade cake offerings available too!) Breakfast was delicious and definitely set us up for the day. Really close to Bowness and the lake (steep hill but totally manageable). Plus there’s lots of walks straight from the door (nice to put the car keys away for 48hrs!) Such a lovely B&B. Thanks for a great stay 😊

This was our 2nd visit to Fairfield house previously we had stayed in the penthouse room and this time we decided to book the chestnut apartment Communication with Nick was very easy with clear check in instruction. He kindly allowed us an early check in which meant we could arrive park and get down into bowness for a walk and lunch before it got too dark. The apartment is a short stroll down the hill and your literally in the centre of Bowness, perfect, with so many pubs and restaurants, spoilt for choice. The apartment had 2 double bedrooms each with its own bathroom, fully fitted kitchen with tea and coffee available The apartment was perfectly clean and warm We hope to return again next year.

Amazing bed and breakfast experience. Warm, comfortable and clean with a charming homely vibe. Nick is very welcoming and helpful. The cooked breakfast in the morning is excellent and it was so nice to come back to complimentary home cooked shortbread and cakes each day. So many 5* reviews for a reason. Highly recommend staying.

This two night trip was exceptional. I cannot fault Fairfield House or the host Nick. We visited whilst we went to a wedding about ten minutes away. The room itself was lovely, bathroom well equipped and felt luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept very well both nights. The water, fresh milk and homemade cakes and biscuits were the cherry on top of what was already a perfect stay. The house and garden themselves are beautiful. We had to leave early on one of the mornings so Nick made us bacon sandwiches to go. When were able to have a sit down breakfast the next day it was delicious and homely. I would recommend this place to anyone and cannot wait to visit again.
