It was wonderful to see our guests back again, and it was a heck of an evening. We are fortunate to have a 4wd vehicle and so realy it was the only logical thing to do to help you. But we are glad it was appreciated, and look forward to seeing you again. Please bring some sunshine next time :-)

This is a very friendly, clean and cosey place to stay, one of the best hotels i've stayed in. Idealy situated for your every needs. Staff make you feel welcome the only fault is I didn't stay long enough.

Room Tip: Get a room with a spa bath... you won't regret it.

Thank you for your kind words. When we decided to have spa baths in our 3 deluxe rooms, we had in mind to create a fun environment. Bear in mind we are aimed at couples having quality time together (hence no children), and so it was an obvious choice. Also please remenber those rooms are not visible online except on our own website. Thanks

The owners were very pleasant but as we were visiting with our dog we got a small, very poor room on the ground floor. We were charged £79.00 plus £10 for our mini schnauzer overpriced for what we got. After having read the reviews and seen the photographs we were extremely disappointed.

Room Tip: Leave your pet at home if you would like an advertised free upgrade or to get a decent room.

We are sorry we fell short of expectations this time. The little dog was perfectly behaved and we enjoyed making a fuss of him.

I booked the Fairfield hotel as a Christmas present for my wife. We love Bowness and have been there on many occasions. The Fairfield just made our Christmas. The room with Jaccuzi was just magnificent. The room, breakfast and abeyance of the hotel including the staff make this place great value for money. Thanks to Tony ( nothing is too much trouble for this chap ) for making our stay just brilliant. Dean and Bev x

Room Tip: Any room will be great

Thanks to the guest for their kind words, we are glad to be able to look after them. That makes our 10th 5 star review on the trot which is a great achievment so many thanks to all our guests who have left reviews. What a way to end 2012! - 2013 here we come! By the way the spa bath was a complimentary upgrade as those rooms are not available through online booking sites, just call or email for details.

The best thing about the fairfield is the lovely breakfast, you have to wait as they are made to order, but worth the wait as they are well presented and of a high quality. Best Breakfast on Windermere.

A big THANK YOU! to the Fairfield (Tony & Liz) for saving us from utter holiday disaster when our holiday to Scotland suddenly left us without a hotel to stay in. Looking on Living Social we saw the amazing deal they were offering! Thankfully on such short notice (the night before!) they were able to get us this special room and even let us check in early because of the situation! The hotel is lovely with a nice garden (too bad it was a bit wet out to enjoy it!) the room was very nice and we felt comfortable as soon as we entered. Our room was clean and had a very cozy bed, a fantastic spa bathtub (big enough for 2!) and a double massaging shower as well. Breakfast was lovely, order the bacon, it is to die for! And the location of the hotel is great, just a short stroll down the hill and you are almost right to the water! All the quirky little shops in town are worth a look in as i did all of my christmas shopping in them. But if you are there for the scenery I would recommend the boat trip up through the mountains (Tony is very helpful in sharing all of this information with you on arrival!) Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a lovely experience and for the accomodation on such short notice, we will definetly return in the furture and would not stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: The Spa rooms are definetly worth the extra money!!!

Wow, we were delighted to get the opportunity to help the customer, I know from my own experience that when it all goes wrong for you, then it only takes one person to be helpful and somehow it all seems to be much easier. we were really pleased that it worked out and grateful for your very kind words. Also pleased that the time we spent planing the facilities in that room have paid off. We hope to see you again. Tony & Liz

Came back to Windermere after 20 years away! The Fairfield was fantastic, very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished. Liz and Tony very friendly helpful and understanding. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. The hotel is very close to all the action in Bowness. Highly recommend, we will return soon. Richard & Sue

We are fortunate to be located only 200 yards from the centre of the towns restaurant area, and though we do get comments about the hill between us and the town, it is that which helps to keep our location quiet and far enough away to be unaware of the town. Thanks.
