I stayed at this hotel at the end of august, on route to visit alton towers. The staff were warm and helplful. Our room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel. The room was clean. The only downside was couple a major things that involved being on the ground floor that was being woken up at early hours of the morning from the guests in the hotel from the room above us. Sounding like heard of elephants coming through the ceiling. Running up and down until , they left the hotel. I would not stay at the hotel again due to the lack of sleep from the early in the morning. And the bathroom sink that turned into a shower by spraying water everywhere! when i used the taps on the basin sink.

The restaurant was very reasonable from prices for a buffet menu but can become very busy at times reguarding what time when you visit the restaurant.

The staff where very friendly and accomadating, the rooms nice and clean very roomy. The restaurant next door all you can eat buffet, similar idea to when we went to Florida, alot of choice very from salad to chip shop fish and curry. The breakfast had a wide variety of choice.

Room Tip: Book in advance, I got room £29 two night , but when I went to book a third extra night close to the time, it was alot dearer. £79. So I didn't book a third night.

We stay at this hotel every time we go visit relatives and we find the staff very happy and friendly, the rooms are very comfortable and child friendly, the meals are affordable and plentiful and the location is perfect, as it's in the middle of everything and is not too far from theme parks!! ! Couldnt recommend it highly enough!!

Very friendly staff But I am afraid that is as good as gets. Rooms are adequate but the attached bar and restaurant is far from a relaxing atmosphere. That said, if you are travelling with children, they will love the plethora of game machines and choice of kids meals.

Sorry, but I won't be returning to this hotel.

Watch out for the early hour revellers from the adjoining pub on Friday Night. Stayed with two young children and were kept awake from drunken people leaving the pub and having arguments / etc. Went out and complained but started again when returned to room.

Also my son found a lice in my bed which he killed and we put on bedside table. When we told reception following morning they werent bothered and just said we will refund you for the late night, which no details were taken and they just seemed to want us out the door, sure they didnt want other guests hearing! Spoilt the Alton Towers trip...
