This cafe is a pleasure to visit: the food is very good quality, speedily served and always tasty. The coffee is the best in town and the ambience always excellent. The proprietor and staff are friendly and helpful, always with a cheerful attention to the satisfaction of their customers. We have spent many a happy hour there and would recommend Michaelangelo to all our friends. Try it! You'll like it!

Cake was ridiculously overpriced (you can get far better for less in Newcastle, as there are lots of cheaper but good quality alternative independent cafes) and the owner hovered and lurked around the table sort of listening in to our conversation. He was creepy.

Would never go back.

I adore this cafe in the middle of Newcastle-Under-Lyme, it opened not long after I moved to the town. I dislike 'plastic chains' of coffee houses, but this place is one of a kind. The owner pours his heart and soul into the place and it shows, great design, very high quality food and drink, VERY clean and a great laid back atmosphere with good music.

I have spent many happy hours here either with a good book, chatting to the owner or staff, with my partner or family.

It is very good value for money (nit cheap, but worth what you pay).

If your just passing through or a local resident, of not miss out on a fine way to pass half an hour or a whole afternoon!
