It has been a joy to work with both the Events Organiser and Hotel Manager throughout the planning process for our recent school reunion dinner.

It was obvious from the outset that The Borough wanted to provide the very best service, excellent value for money and accommodate all requests put before them.

Their professional and quietly efficient approach to organising an event inspired confidence that all would be perfect on the evening.

And perfect it was. Within a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the dining experience involving kindly, unobtrusive yet attentive staff, serving well presented, lovely food was a faultless delight.

The reunion evening was regarded, without exception, by all guests, as hugely enjoyable and successful. Our grateful thanks, and indeed respect, go to the hard working Manager and staff at The Borough. We shall most certainly return for our next reunion.

I stayed at this hotel with some friends whilst visiting alton towers. We all found the staff to be very friendly and helpful (particually the general manager who was very visible throughout our stay) and nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was of a very good standard and all for a reasonable price. Would recommend this well positioned hotel to anyone visiting the area, far better than the impersonal service experienced at recently visited chain hotels. Already planning a return visit to this area and will definitely be booking with this hotel again.

On Saturday Sept 4th we celebrated my sons wedding at this venue, everything from the ceremony right through till late evening was a superb experience. the ambience and cleanliness of the hotel was first class, the food was of a high quality and the speed of service and staff friendliness was second to none. and finally a big thank you to hotel manager/proprietor Mr Sheikh for his friendliness and kind attention to detail. what an excellent day. I would fully recommend this venue to anyone !!

I stayed in this hotel for one night; we found the staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. We needed directions to a local gig venue and reception were only happy to help. The rooms were very clean, a little dated but unlike the branded hotels it has the personal touches. The bar food and breakfast were wonderful. I would defiantly stay in this hotel again.

Came here for a friends stag night and Alton Towers. Nice hotel in general. As the previews reviewers have said - rooms are a little old but still clean and we all slept fine in the twins and doubles we were allocated.

Food, drink and all round service were excellent.

Only gripe was that the newspaper did not arrive on time before we had to check out.
