“Great theatre and food”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Brilliant! Have been to a number of shows at the New Vic and enjoyed them all. For a laugh and some great 60s music, Uncle Eric's productions are well worth watching (on each summer and winter) and the Christmas production is also really well done.

The restaurant serves good food and so its worth arriving early to eat before the play.

“The leading Theatre in north Staffordshire”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

The purpose built Theatre in the round is at the forefront of the best in stage productions in the Region. The Vic remains at the heart of local community life as well as in close contact with current and modern drama. Super productions and other entertainment, allied to a good restaurant and modern bar.

“Wonderful Theatre - for many reasons”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

The New Vic presents season after season of unmissable events in this wonderful theatre. Everything from the quality of the performances to the quality of the beer is first class. It is friendly, comfortable and very welcoming. We are so lucky to have this wonderful facility - theatre in the round presents many challenges, but the New Vic never fails to meet them and to astonish the audience with some amazing productions.
There's also a great little restaurant and a lovely relaxed bar with an excellent choice of beers & wines. The super staff are great at providing our Interval bottle of wine, nicely chilled.
Can't recommend it enough..........

“So good we saw it twice!”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

Knowing how good New Vic productions are, we booked tickets for 'Around the world in 80 days' to take visiting friends on a Saturday night. It was such a fantastically inventive, funny and fast moving performance that we booked to see it again by ourselves and enjoyed it just as much the second time. The cast is superb, particularly Michael Hugo as Passepartout and Dennis Herdman as Inspector Fix, who attracted hisses and boos from the audience for trying to stop Fogg winning his bet. It finishes on Saturday - get a ticket if you can, for one of the best shows of the year.

“80 days in 2 hours”
Reviewed April 29, 2013 via mobile

There have been many splendid productions at the New Vic but few have surpassed the current production "Around the World in 80 Days". It is a swift moving, polished fantasy delightfully acted by a brilliant, young group of actors. Don't miss it
