“Excellent location for walking the coastal footpath.”
Reviewed April 3, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

The Gannets is a very well equipped and comfortable. It is well placed for walking and the beaches of the Dorset coastline. We visited Dorchester on market day, which was very good, Kingston Lacey a beautiful National Trust property, Corfe Castle and Athelhampton, which was a real joy. All are within an hour's driving. Would also recommend tea shop in Osmington, excellent value. Whilst at the house we were thrilled with the Badgers and other wildlife. Would love to come again.

“A Very Merry Christmas”
Reviewed January 9, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We travelled to the Gannets with my parents and their dog. It is ideal for older guests with having the 2 downstairs bedrooms and bathroom. The property is a little old fashioned in its decor but is very clean and warm. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the owners had kindly left us a welcome package. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is perhaps the best equipped we have experienced. The garden is full of wildlife and we were lucky enough to see the badgers most nights (they did enjoy the peanut butter sandwiches) together with lots of birds including the pheasants. There were just a couple of minor negative points for us which was the 2nd TV was for playing on the Wii only as the TV didn't have an aerial and the road to the property is a private road which is in need of maintenance. Neither of these detracted from our holiday though and we had a very Merry Christmas!
