“Enjoyed our stay”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

Stayed at the wilton guest house for 3 nights,Craig was very friendly and welcoming,Very clean and comfortable beds,(not like our stay in Blacpool this year).Breakfast was beautiful and a wide variety of choice to suit each individual,as for the carpet you have to expect that in bad weather conditions as people are in and out constantly throughout the day.Great location for all shops, pubs, restaurants, beach etc etc.Staff were very friendly and if we were to go back to weymouth we would certainly go back to the wilton, great value for money.....Thanks guys xx

This was booked as a last minute getaway for the family (including 2 six year old boys). The staff were all very accomodating on our arrival, especially as we changed our arrival time at the last minute.
The room was a good size for us all and one of the beds was able to go away during the day to enable us to have a little more room. It was well equiped with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and TV/DVD. There was even a small selection of DVD's and toys for the boys which was a nice touch.
We were able to park very close by with the permit which made it easier. To be honest though the location was fab that we did not need to use the car again until the return home.
The breakfast was amazing and set us all up for the day.
We would definately come back and hope the weather is as kind to us again :)

Positives
The welcome could not have been more friendly.
All our requirements met and more.
The rooms and facilities were very clean and tidy.
The choice of cooked breaksfast was good with an adequate amount.
Within two minutes walk from the town centre giving easy access to shops bars and tourist facilities.
A good level of information provided about local attractions.

Negatives
The carpet in the halland stairs was a little worn and did not set a great first impression as you entered.

I would use the Wilton Guest House again ad would recommend it to friends. As a base, for the price I beleive that it was good value for money.

The staff remained friendly throughout my stay andeven offered parking facilities after I had booked out.

When looking for a B&B in Weymouth I thought I had found the best in town after seeing the Wilson Guest House’s video. I am sad to say reality was disappointing. The video did not lie, but cherry picked. We entered a narrow shabby hallway, which lead to stairs with a well worn grubby carpet. The rooms must have looked good about 5 years ago, but could certainly do with a thorough clean/refreshing now. Only two teabags and two biscuits for the evening, therefore nothing for the morning. Minimal bathroom facilities, no soap or shower gel, towels used for showers were not replaced the following morning and the saniflow toilets vibrated throughout the building. The cooked breakfast was tasty, but other aspects were very basic, no fresh fruit, no yogurts, no wholemeal bread, only orange juice and marmalade were on offer. On the last morning when going downstairs for breakfast we found piles of sheets and towels outside all the rooms which made us feel they could not wait to be rid of us. The price and experience did not compare favourably with other B&B’s we have stayed in.

Room Tip: Rooms are tiny, request the family room it has more space.

Thanks for the review, all comments are taken on board and dealt with if needed. The Video was produced in March just after the renovation (see you tube), since then we have had one of the wettest Aprils on record hence the carpets probably need doing. The carpets are cleaned twice a year Jan and June. The video isn't selective, the video focuses on the rooms bathrooms and dining room. Its a guest house not a hotel, so there isn't much else to show you. Thanks again.

I stayed in this bed and breakfast around Christmas time. It is a lovely and friendly bed and breakfast. The room was very well furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast in the morning was delicious.

The Wilton Guest House is in a fantastic position to explore Weymouth. The staff are friendly and went out their way to make me feel welcome. The room was clean and tidy with a comfy bed and I really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. I'd 100% return in the future or recommend the Guest House to friends.
