We have just returned from a weekend in Weymouth. we booked the Sandcombe purley due to the comments on Trip adviser. I must be honest, we were disapointed with the Hotel. The family room was tiny, the table and chairs in the room are really 'tacky' slatted cheap wood typeThe whole room seemed to be furnished to a cheap standard. It was clean. Also the hotel was quiet but you could here the people above us walking around, it was enough to wake us at 6.45am! The view from the room was lovely-but that was it. We would have relaxed, watched TV in the lounge area, but that is also small with NO T.V. The breakfast was good, and David was friendly. Sorry but we will NOT be returning.

Back again for the third visit to the Sandcombe Hotel in Weymouth. The weather again was good and my friend and I did a lot of walking. We found a brilliant RSPB sanctuary right in the middle of town and ended up spending a whole morning there as it was so informative and interesting. There are plenty of places to eat in Weymouth, either for lunch or dinner and, of course, the afternoon cream teas are a treat in themselves! The hotel is extremely comfortable, quiet and the breakfast is excellent. Sheila and David made us so welcome I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dorset.

My family and I stayed at The Sandcombe and were very pleased with the value for money. The cleanliness is of a very high standard and the building is very pleasant with stunning views from every window, David & Sheila who ran the hotel were so welcoming and friendly and ensured our stay was a good one. There were certain touches that topped off the whole experience that you wouldn't get from most other places. If anyone asks me if I knew of anywhere to stay in Weymouth I WILL be recommeding The Sandcombe.

Spot on in every respect. This charming and personally run hotel in a beautiful historic terrace in Weymouth has stunning views, front and rear. We were warmly welcomed by proprietors Sheila and David and guided to our spotlessly clean en-suite room which overlooked the old harbour. We had tea and coffee making facilities and could sit in the bay-window admiring the view. Great location for the many restaurants and pubs all within easy walking distance.
Breakfast at The Sandcombe was every thing you would want it to be with a great selection of cereals and juices but for the hardcore amongst us the full English could not be equalled!
Warm and friendly - Seila and David are lovely.
Definitely worth a visit and we are going again.

It was our first time to the UK and we had room number one. From the moment the door swung open and we saw that beautiful view through the bay window I wish we had booked more than two nights. The stay was top notch, Sheila and Dave were wonderful. The breakfasts were superb and Sheila offered any custom arrangement of food we wanted. Jerry and Sherry from Florida give it top ratings, we would definitley stay again and highly recommend.

We have stayed at the Sandcombe several times over the last two years we love Weymouth and a stay at the Sandcombe make it extra special. We first stayed at the Sandcombe when Dave and Shelia took it over, from the first time we met them they made us feel very welcome and at home nothing is to much trouble the selection of food at breakfast offers something for everyone. The whole family including our Children 9 and 5 enjoy staying at the Sandcombe it offer excellent value for money and has an excellent atmosphere. We will be staying again in September.
